these are my Jay Recs for thick, coarse, wavy hair

i originally bought this as a post-shave face lotion but i've now been using it for several years as a mosquito repellent

my qualifications for recommending it is that, historically, mosquitos LOVE biting me. once i was bit so severely as a child that i had to go to the doctor and be put on antibiotics bc every inch from head to toe was a hive

as an adult mosquitos still attack me - even if i remain indoors. they find a way in somehow.

but when i apply this lotion literally see them fly towards me and then turn around in disgust

i looked into it (bc there's a lot of pseudoscience and woo woo shit online) and there are genuine scientific studies done on the efficacy of certain oils in being able to repell insects. two of them are lavender and chamomile, which this lotion contains

as for its use as an actual lotion? i think it kind of sucks. it does smell nice but i don't feel moisturized from its usage. i use it entirely for pest protection + smelling nice
