CRITICALLY ENDANGERED SPECIES The biggest threat to the Javan rhino is the very small size of the remaining population. With an estimated 74 animals left in a single population in Ujung Kulon National Park, the Javan rhino is extremely vulnerable to natural disasters and disease. Happy #cincoderhino! 🦏 #didyouknow? in 2015 there was an estimated only ~30,000 rhinos (of all 5 species) left in the wild? 😵 with #javanrhinos having between 61-63 animals left! 😢 Rhinos are my favorite 😘 so any day made to celebrate them and educate others is a day I want to participate in #funfact2 🤓 Their horns are made of the same materials as our hair and finger nails! Zero medicinal properties and Zero reason to remove them from the animal! They only do their job when they are still attached to a cute smoosh face. 🦏😍 ♡♡♡♡
