TV writer Jas Waters, 39-years-old, who worked on shows such as This Is Us and Kidding, died on June 9, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s office. Her cause of death was listed as hanging and the manner of death was ruled as a suicide.

Rest in Power Jas Waters. She was one of the best black storytellers of our time and a beautiful Creative. “This Is Us” will never be the same without her.
