@jaspvid-week day 3! Angst! BNHA AU
This is the story about how David gained his quirk and lost a best friend...
Jasper was a few years ahead of David at Campbell's academy. Being the top of his class Jasper quickly became the hero 'astral boy'. A hero with the ability to project himself from his body to possess his foe's along with the ability to discreetly gather Intel and interact with some physical objects.
Davey, Jasper's best friend and school mate was assigned as a sidekick to astral boy and was responsible for watching Jasper's body while he was away gathering Intel from a mob discussing a possible heist.
After an argument with his friend, Davey had decided to burn off some steam and walked away from the other's body, only to return to a faceless man standing over Jasper. Panicking, Davey had made an attempt to apprehend the man but found himself over powered by the villian. Feeling burning hot appendages across his neck, Davey could feel his own life slipping away until something inside of him had decided to fight back. Using his quirk at full power, Davey was able to overload the man's psyche, causing him to flee from the scene of the crime. Desperately trying to awaken Jasper, Davey sat next to his friend, calling to him, trying with everything he had to bring Jasper back. But it was almost as if Jasper's quirk was stolen by the faceless man, leaving Jasper's soul to wonder, never being seen by other's and completely alone.
Davey was eventually found by Campbell and was taken back to the school where Davey was given time to recover. Unfortunately, due to the trauma, he was never able to recount the story correctly, and could not seem to remember what exactly had happened to his friend.
Jasper's body was taken to the hospital, where he remains until the day his quirk returns and astral boy can finally return to his physical form. -mod winter.

Sorry this is not colored and a little bit of a stretch for the theme, but it took me a while to decide. Quick thing for day 1 of @jaspvid-week (holiday/seasonal). I went with the seasonal aspect and chose summer, cause that’s David’s thing!! And his first year he can get jasper to counsel with him must surely be special.
