A round of applause for Wingara Mura - Bunga Barrabugu Summer Program and NIYLA alumnus, Jamarley!
Jarmarley is creating change in a number of ways. He is a leader at his school, St Brendan’s College and is currently drafting the schools Reconciliation Action Plan. He is an inaugural member of the Australian Youth Climate Coalition’s Indigenous youth program Seed, developed a campaign tackling climate change called Don’t Wait Til It’s Too Late, and is currently forming a Central Queensland Indigenous climate change youth network. Jarmarley also participated in the the National Indigenous Youth Parliament, where he advocated on action climate change and constitutional recognition. All of this at just 17!
