“Get out, Adam.” You yelled, throwing his clothes at him.
“I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to sleep with them!” He said, practically on his knees begging you to take him back.
“But you did! Fuck you!” You yelled back.
“You know what? I’m glad I fucked them! They aren’t some psycho bitch like you are!” He said, his whole mood changing. He started coming towards you and you shut your eyes, waiting for the blow until there was a voice.
“Hey, Y/N, I have your mail again- Oh sorry for interrupting.” You heard your neighbor, Jared say.
“Jared! Hi!” You said, moving from Adam closer to Jared.
“I’m leaving.” Adam growled and stormed out of the door.
“That was all I was asking.” You said, turning to Jared. “Thanks for the mail.”
“Everything okay?” He asked and you nodded.
“Great. I got a cheating boyfriend out of my life.” You said. “But I have things to do.” You said.
“Alright, I’ll leave you to it.” Jared said. You and Jared had known each other for almost three years when you moved in the apartment next to him. He was living with Connor and Evan, and you knocked on the door with a plate of cookies in your hands. That’s how you got your best friends. It was a terrible thing to think, but Jared was glad you and Adam broke up, because he really liked you. He was teased non-stop by Connor and Evan by it.
That night, you were laying in your bed, trying to sleep, but you found it hard. Why were you sad? Adam was never great to you. He was constantly nagging you to do things for him, and he cheated on you. You should be happy, not trying to not cry.
“Woah, you look like shit.” Jared said as you opened the door.
“I haven’t slept in four days.” You said and Jared’s smirk dropped.
“Y/N, you need to sleep.” He said, letting himself in.
“What’s the point? Everytime I close my eyes, I’m left with images of Adam and it’s no use.” You said, yawning. Yes, you were extremely tired, but that wasn’t the point.
“Come on.” He said, grabbing your hand.
“Jared.” You whined. “What are you doing?”
“You are taking a nap.” He said.
“I’ll be the whole time. Just sleep.” He said, sitting you down on the bed. You rolled your eyes but lied down.
“This is stupid.” You said.
“Sleep tight, and don’t let the bedbugs bite.” He said.
“Come here.” You said, opening your arms.
“Lay down next to me.” You said like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
“It’s not like I’m fucking you. Just lay down next to me.” You said and he sighed before laying down next to you.
“I love you, you know.” You said. And that was the last thing you remembered before falling asleep.
