Who is the most underrated traditionally published (trad pub) author? Who are the most underrated fic writers?
My favorite author that no one’s ever heard of is Kate Elliott. She’s been doing a lot of the same things that GRRM gets praised for for years and has an excellent track record for finishing series. I would recommend Jaran (although that series actually isn’t finished) or Crossroads.
I’m not sure about underrated fic writers. I don’t feel like I read enough fic to know who’s underrated and my favorites are some of the popular ones. I’m sure there’s some hidden gems that I’ve missed.
