you sigh at life again, a sigh that comes so natural to you as you've been sighing at life everday since your parents had passed and you're stuck with an auntie and a stuck-up cousin who does nothing but spit insults at you.
your stomach growls loudly, mimicking a beast that cannot wait to be fed. looking around to see whether someone heard your empty stomach, you awkwardly hug yourself to suppress the noise.
the popular class clown, jangjun, walks up to you and tilts his head in confusion.
you slightly raise your eyebrows at him, asking why he's suddenly approaching you.
"you're not eating again" he blurts out and takes a seat while keeping a small distance from you.
"what do you mean again?" you scoff at him while removing your hands from your stomach to hide the fact that you're hungry.
"i haven't seen you eat lunch for three days straight and i know that because i literally play baseball in that field in front of us right now everyday"
"right i forgot" you blatantly reply, hoping that the conversation would finally end.
for a moment, there was silence between the two of you. from the corner of your eye, jangjun keeps fidgeting and glancing at you.
"okay. stay here, dont move. i'll just go get something it'll be quick i promise" jangjun suddenly stands up and hurrily runs towards the cafeteria.
so you sit there, waiting for him to back. completely confused as to why he's even speaking to you in the first place.
"oh hi you didn't go away. okay well im here" he comes back, panting slightly while carrying a tray filled with lunch food.
"you can have mine" he says as he hands you the tray filled with school food.
"huh what?" you question his intentions, refusing to take the tray.
"just take it. i dont know your situation and you dont have to tell me, but i hope im helping"
"fine but we're sharing"
