THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN JANE ANTONELLI
[LONG READ] I wanted to thank everyone who’s interacted with the artwork of Jane Antonelli aka The french version of Jane along with Jane’s Guide. I will admit, I was very surprised at the amount of fans who showed up with interest in the not just the piece but the character wanting to know more about Jane Antonelli especially after I created Jane's Guide. A lot of the CREEPYPASTA fanbase and Jane The Killer fanbase were quick to ask questions about her and spread word of her existence labeling her as “The third Jane”. The post of her now has reached 140 likes which is almost half way to 200 on Instagram on top of that a couple of my mutuals started making fan-art of her inspired by my design. To others this may not seem like that big of a deal or an achievement but to me it is.
So many of my mutuals messaged me about this and how they seen others commenting and discussing “The third Jane,” on Tumblr, TikTok, Instagram. Saying stuff like, “DID YOU SEE THE COMMENTS?” and "Did you read the comments on other Jane posts? their talking about the Jane you drew.” and I just laughed a little, because I had no idea what they were talking about it never occurred to me that fans would actually go out of their way mentioning her and the art I made publicly. I was quite surprised when I saw the comments, a little in denial because I never thought I could make such an impact with my art or creations especially in this fandom space after everything but then I stopped and asked the very important question, “how can you be sure they are taking about the Jane I drew that could be any other version of Jane made by fans.” They weren’t saying her name or anything other than “The third Jane.” It wasn’t until I saw the comments underneath saying; “The Jane in white.”
What my mutuals had been so excitedly telling me about and trying to get me to look at was true and I can confidently say I am proud to be apart is this. I view it as a good thing and an achievement for not just my experience but also the CREEPYPASTA fandom.
This a thank you from not my brain but my heart as someone who started in this fandom viewing myself as a nobody not expecting to stay publicly in this for long. Whose actions, words, thoughts, and creations might never be seen or perceived in a positive light to others in the community. I never imagined that it was actually possible to make this impact giving fans excitement and genuine interest even if it’s not a long term thing, I am still grateful and proud to see fans talking about something with a positive outlook.
Important notes; I am glad to mention I will be continuing to make art and content for the CREEPYPASTA fandom not just things related to recent or past drama, yes I will be addressing those things eventually but currently I believe there are many other things we can be discussing as a community and doing as a community other then pushing each other out of the fandom.
Jane Antonelli, the drawing I did was a redesign her look inspired of white goth which is sub genre of goth. Anyone who is a fan of the original Jane The Killer/Richardson should be aware that a key characteristic of her character is that she is goth. This is a not a fan interpretation or new information but something I got confirmed by the creator and has been confirmed for several years now with multiple tags under the creators posts tagging goth. My interpretation of each fan-made Jane following that is a different sub genre of goth with Jane The Killer/Richardson being seen as any for she is the original.
