Jan would find a bunch of these in her desk.

Torel’s tiny cabin had been transformed, sparkling lights and garlands strung around and fake snow dotting the top of the Harpsichord and the various tables around the house. A number of ornate snow globes had been lined up along the mantel over the merrily crackling fire. and to the side of the couch and fireplace a tall tree had been set up, softly glowing fairy lights lined up around it, blinking a pulsing in some strange pattern. Other ornaments had been hung from the tree and a small squat power source was hidden at the base of the tree behind a few wrapped gifts.

Torel had been working for several hours to get the cabin ready. The heavy snow had fallen outside, blanketing the forest in a blanket of crunchy white. Scrap had been allowed out to curiously run around in the powder though at the moment the pup was laying on the floor by the glass doors quietly watching the snow falling outside. Within the house the scent of warm gingerbread would apparent and rich chocolate, the young man setting about getting some cookies and hot chocolate prepared to welcome Jan home from the rare blizzard that had would make getting to work in the morning quite a chore.

Torel had been told by Jan that she had plans for them both in the afternoon so he’d let her run off to do her errands and spent the afternoon doing his own work at home, keeping scrap company, and taking the occasional break to let the dog run around outside and tire himself out. Over the course of the day though, he’d do his best to assemble a treat for Jan, using the leftover peanut butter cups along with some cookies to make tiny little bats. He’d assemble a dozen of the treats, setting them on the platter, and then leaving it for Jan to find when she returned home.

Torel would have made Jan something simple for breakfast before leaving for the day, though instead of heading right off to work, he’d have snuck over to Jan’s office and after disabling the security with his codes he’d have gently set out a tray for the woman to find. A collection of different Candied apples, some with Caramel, others with more typical cand, some were sour apple, and a few were more unique. Grape, Blueberry, and the most unique on a plate on Jan’s own desk, a single apple that had been coated in Blue Raspberry coating and sprinkled with sprinkles. Under the plate would be a small note with a blue heart drawn on it and Torel’s signature.
