Trey is obviously very impressed, he cannot fathom that you never look anything up and it still turns out amazing
βYou sure you donβt bake?β You shrug. βI dunno. I justβ¦ try things.β
He starts hovering while you cook, not wanting to correct you or anything but just to observe how you work in the kitchen
When something turns out especially good, heβll quietly write the recipe down exactly as you made it, notes like βthey added cinnamon on impulse here.β
He loves cooking with you because your ideas somehow always work and he loves spending time with you like this

The first time you say youβre βnot a good cookβ Jamil raises an eyebrow and mentally prepares himself for a kitchen disaster
Then he eats what you madeβ¦Silence
βYou said you couldnβt cook.β βI canβt! I just mess around.β
Jamil hates that answer because it makes no sense
You cook completely intuitively
No rules, just feeling it out and seein what it makes in the end
It drives him insane, and impresses him deeply.
He watches closely, arms crossed, noting every spice you grab, he will analyze your choices later
You experiment with flavors from different cultures without even realizing it, and Jamil loves it so much that he has to be careful to not smile too much while watching you
If something goes wrong for one, he tries to help you βNext time, do this.β
Heβll remake your dishes later on his own time, trying to recreate your choices (it never tastes quite the same)
When you cook for him specifically, he gets soft about it βYou didnβt have to do thatβ he says, eating every last bite
Deep down, he loves that your cooking isnβt about perfection or following rules and instead is just done with heart

When you say youβre not a good cook, Vil immediately clocks it as false modesty
He watches you experiment like everything is gonna turn out fine no matter what you put in there
βYou cook by instinctβ he notices βThatβs rare.β
He will comment on your presentation usually, but never like harshly or mean βThe flavor is excellent. Letβs make it look as beautiful as it tastes.β
Vil absolutely believes cooking is an extension of self-care (a good diet is very important)
Gets a bit worried when you just start constantly making sweets because you saw them somewhere (sometimes you don't even plan on eating them but just want to see if you are able to make it)
Has a hard time refusing you when you ask him to taste something, and will always taste what you are making and giving suggestions
He loves when you cook together, him making sure that the meal is balanced and good for the body while you are just experimenting around
