hi jamie i take voice lessons because i am in theatre but without training my voice is that of an angry squirrel so i have a teacher. my teacher goes to church regularly. my teacher is in charge of the choir at this church. she offered me a spot because it's like five people, one of whom i really look up to, and she said it would be good practice for choral singing AND she would give my mom discounts on the lessons. the church is episcopalian which is catholic but less guilt and more liberal so they won't try to send me to conversion therapy plus the priest is a woman so im pretty okay with joining. my relationship with religion is shaky at best but im here to sing anyway not to be religious. i am going to think about gay sex during services because if god is real wouldn't that be so fucking funny that he has to see that. and if not then well.
