Finding out you’re pregnant, at first you think Chopper is joking. You hadn’t been able to keep food down lately, but your mind had never gone to the idea of you being pregnant. And you are terrified but Luffy (after being confused at first) seems excited. The crew are more or less alright with it.

The running joke as the pregnancy continues is that it can’t be that hard in comparison to dealing with Luffy on a daily basis.

Luffy agrees with them. Much to your dismay

Luffy forgets to tell Ace and Sabo about the fact you’re pregnant. So imagine the surprise felt when they meet up one day in a random port and there you are, about 5 months pregnant. Their expressions are hilarious.

“Luffy’s going to be a dad?!”

“Wait…we’re going to be UNCLES?!”

After the realization clicks in, both men are ecstatic and they don’t want to leave. Not until after you have the kid at least. Because they’re going to be uncles

Cue both brothers telling their friends and their own crew the news. The cheers from the Moby Dick can be heard through the Mushi Mushi Den for miles and when Sabo tells Koala and the others at first there is silence but Koala starts laughing and says that Dragon looked absolutely stunned and had had to walk out. There had been a smile on his face though.

Despite it being obvious that you were pregnant, it didn’t really seem to register with Luffy. He acted the same as he always does. That is until one night while you’re resting and he’s laying partially on you, cheek on your stomach and the baby kicks him in the face. He blinks and looks at the spot where the baby was and you just laugh gently. Then his face breaks into a bright smile. 

After that he is always checking up on you and talking to the baby whenever he can. You find it endearing.

You go into labor at the worst possible time. Marines attacked the Thousand Sunny and Luffy had made you get downstairs and hide. Which you hated. You wanted to help the crew but they all wanted you safe.

Then all of sudden you’re in immense pain and practically collapse. You feel something wet pass between your legs and you come into a startling realization. You’re in labor. With a fight raging on above you.

You’d have laughed if you weren’t about to panic.

You try to keep it down, to not alert either your crew or the Marines. Thankfully it seems Chopper sensed your pain or heard your muffled screams. Something, because he’s suddenly there and then Chopper is instructing you on how to deliver. You’re rather impressed with yourself. 

You can only hope that everything is going well above and that Luffy is alright. 

You nearly crumple at a sudden contraction. You hope he’s okay because you’re going to kill him. 

Meanwhile the fight is over after a little bit. Not a surprise as they picked a fight not only with the Strawhats, but Fire Fist Ace and Chief of Staff of the Revolutionary Army Sabo are there. 

However the feeling of victory is short lived as a cry echoes out from below deck. You. Luffy has a look of panic on his face and he is down the stairs like a shot, the crew and his brothers not far behind. 

Seconds before he reaches the door to the room he put you in, another cry fills the air, this one certainly not yours.

And as he stands there frozen another wail joins the previous one, echoing over one another.

What feels like an eternity goes by, and then he opens the door and there you are, exhausted, sweat dripping off of you and tears sliding down your face. Chopper is flitting around two small squirming bundles that are in your grasp. And you’re smiling through your tears. 

You look up finally and your smile widens. “Come here, Lu. Come say hi.”

And he does so, the quietest you can ever remember him being as he cranes his neck to see both small infants in your grasp. Twins, he hears. A boy and a girl. And they’re….tiny. Smaller than he expected, wrinkly, and pink. They have dark fuzz adorning their heads. But their little lungs are making sure everyone knows that they are both fine and dandy.

In the background, he can sort of hear his brothers beginning to sob because they’re now uncles. But he can’t hear them over the sound of his heartbeat.

When he’s handed one, he can hear her little heart beating under his fingertips. And for once in his life, Monkey D. Luffy is still, just staring at his kids. And then his face breaks out into the biggest smile you’ve ever seen.

The crew absolutely adore the babies when they meet them. Every single member of the crew, even Zoro, is grinning at the sight of the littlest members of their crew. It’s fairly obvious that those babies are going to be so spoiled. Likewise, Sabo and Ace are OVER THE MOON when they see their little niece and nephew, each one getting to hold one of them at the same time. To say they’re going to be doting uncles is an understatement. Those two are in love in the instant they see the two. 

And it is chaos. That’s the easiest way to describe Luffy with his children. Pure and utter chaos. He usually has them wrapped up in slings on his chest and back and everyone can hear the babies squealing and giggling as their father bounces around Sunny having the times of their little lives.

The Strawhats find it adorable.

The one thing that there is little doubt about is that those two children are loved by the entire crew. If they’re not with one of their parents, they're with a crew member, always safe and protected. No one has to ever doubt that those crew members would protect those children with their lives

In the same vein, if anyone attempts to go after the twins, it’s not a question of if they die. It’s how.

Because if the Strawhats don’t kill them, if any of their allies get wind of what was attempted or done, there will be no rest until they’re either captured or killed by any of them.

Ace and Sabo would be in the lead.

Garp finds out about the twins months later. Just happens to cross paths with his grandson who is proudly sporting the twins in their slings as usual. Garp is…stunned to say the least.

“When did you grab those babies, you brat!?”

“They’re mine!”

“What do you mean they’re yours?!”

“Gramps, don’t you know where babies come from?”

“YOU IDIOT! OF COURSE I DO!”

The yelling continues for a long while, long enough for you to grab the twins for lunch time. At that point Garp makes his way onto the ship because he actually wants to meet his great-grandson and great-granddaughter face to face.

He is over the moon when Chopper gives you and him the news. That man is practically jumping for joy.

Actually he does jump for joy

He practically gives up smoking overnight for you. It does make him a bit more irritable around the crew. Zoro especially.

But he never snaps at you no matter how irritated he feels. Even when you feel slightly guilty over him having to give up a habit for you.

Has a slight pregnancy kink, not going to lie. He loves watching you and staring at your belly as it grows and is almost always rubbing it.

Granted, barring others on the crew, if some random passerby tries to touch your stomach, they’re going to get a face full of foot

Is always willing to make you whatever concoction your cravings come up with and eat it with you if need be. Doesn't matter the time of the day or night. And trust me, you try to keep your craving requests to a minimum because you don’t want to be a bother him, which he quickly refutes, saying he doesn’t mind

Feels slightly self-conscious when walking around towns and sees all the skinny and pretty women that Sanji would typically chase after, especially when you get on in the later months and it is fairly obvious that you’re pregnant

You keep expecting to find him somewhere with one of these women. And you can’t blame him if he does

When he finds out about your fears (through a very irate Nami who filled him in on it), he feels upset that he’s made you self conscious about your appearance and is quick to pull you close and reassure you over and over again that you’re beautiful and he only has his eyes set on you

That night, he makes sure you know you’re the only one he wants

Ironically, your water breaks when you’re eating some of his dishes. You hadn’t been feeling the greatest that day, and you wanted some small snack. One bite and then your water has broken

That night, the crew learns that you can curse just as bad as a sailor, and even make up some new curse words along the way all aimed at Sanji for putting you through this.

It’s several long hours before a different cry fills the air and your little daughter comes screaming into the world. You stare at her with awe and love and you cannot imagine a baby more perfect.

Sanji is just…stunned, watching as Robin helps Chopper with cleaning the baby girl.

And then she’s in his arms and it's as if the world has grown still and he can’t breathe all of a sudden. She’s tiny, red, wrinkly and she has the chubbiest cheeks, and he can see a tuft of blonde adorning her head. 

Her hands are soft, and her tiny fist can barely wrap around one finger.

And he falls head over heels for this little girl and is a weeping mess as he takes her in. You find it cute and just watch them bond as you relax and recuperate

She is never far from him for the first few months. He doesn’t want to miss anything his little princess is doing. Usually you find her with him in a sling on his chest, babbling loudly at him as he replies with responses. She’s apparently his biggest fan, and biggest critic when it comes to food. He offers her some things to taste.

He makes all her baby food. None of that pre-made, canned stuff. 

As with during your pregnancy, he is never smoking around her.

And his little princess is spoiled by him. 

Cue some teasing about what will happen when she’s older and boys begin to catch her eye. Sanji gets very…protective at that moment and firmly states she won’t be dating any time soon.

He pointedly ignores everyone mentioning his flirting with women

Sometimes at night, Sanji wakes up and finds you feeding her and he just watches. Not in a creepy perverted kind of way, just silently watching the two of you. And his mind wanders and he wonders how his father could have looked at his siblings and made them into monsters. How he  considered doing the same with him had his mother not intervened.

And he thanks his mother over and over again in his mind for giving him this chance to have his small family and to cherish you and your little girl.

Those nights he holds you close, watching his precious little girl safe and asleep now happy with a belly full of food.

A few months later Zeff and the crew in Baratie receive a simple letter with pictures of the baby. There is a loud cheer heard throughout the ship.  

Zeff may or may not have them tacked up on the wall.

Sanji receives a letter from Zeff with some small recipe suggestions and the request for more pictures in the future.

Continuation from Part 1

It is close to the end of the pregnancy that Sabo has a nightmare about you. Trapped, held down, and unable to reach you. He hears you die. You and their child. The last thing he sees is your corpse before he’s consumed by fire as well. He shoots out of bed, the echoing screams and smell of burning flesh lingering even as the carnage disappears and is replaced by his room and the chill of the night air replaces the heat.  ‘It’s a dream. It was only a dream, you were fine. Asleep right next to him. It was only a dream’ He keeps repeating in his head.

He turns to where you usually sleep, only to find that you aren’t there.

You’re not there. You’re not there.

He practically flies out of the bed, stumbling as he reaches the door to the room, panic overriding everything logical in his brain. That someone, somehow, had taken you and you were in danger. You and your child (his child) are in danger. And he isn’t there to protect you both.

He’s just about to break down every door he comes across when he hears you calling out for him, but instead of screams, his name is in the form of a question. He spins around and sees you standing in the hall, confused. The direction you came from was the bathroom, so he quickly figured out where you had gone. But the panic lingers and he clings to you when you both return to your room. You’re confused, but don’t question it as he curls up around you, hand wrapped around the swell of your stomach, letting out a small laugh as the baby kicks.

Later he’ll tell you about the nightmare, later you both will have a conversation about it. Later…but not now.

He makes a promise to himself to never lose you or the baby. Anyone who wishes harm to either of you will face his wrath. And nothing will stop him.

When the day arrives, you are in excruciating pain and cursing Sabo within an inch of his life. Like the dutiful lover he is, he lets you curse his very existence and hold his hand.

Your grip on his hand is worse than his Dragon Claw, he’s sure of it, but he keeps his mouth shut about it.

And then the moment happens and you and Sabo hear that wail of an infant. The doctor happily says it’s a boy.

And for Sabo it just echoes through his head. It’s as if the world has gone silent and still.

It’s not until he feels a small weight, a squirming bundle being placed into his arms that he looks down and stares at his son (a son…he has a son). His wrinkly, and pink and he has the smallest hands and he can see strands of blond hair.

He falls in love instantly and feels tears gathering and then falling down his face.

He doesn’t know how his father could have been the way he was. The mere idea of hurting his son the way he had been hurt is unfathomable. The baby squirms, letting out a whine and panicking Sabo. Is he hurting him?

You laugh gently and calm Sabo, reminding him that he’s entered a world that is vastly different from the one he had been in for several months. He’s just overwhelmed. 

The two of you sit there for a little while, bonding with your son falling ever deeper in love with that precious little bundle safe in his father’s arms. 

A little while later you both hear arguing, and recognize the voices of Ace, Luffy, and Koala. You knew both brothers had arrived only a few hours ago, and are trying to be nice to the both of you. 

You also know both brothers have the patience of a bug. 

You sigh, but smile and tell Sabo that he better let his brothers see their nephew before they lose their minds.

Sabo agrees and within moments the other two men tumble in over one another to meet the baby. They grin happily, falling just as quickly in love with the baby as Sabo and you had. 

“He’s so…squishy looking.” and you sigh but thank Luffy regardless

“At least he takes after you in looks, Y/N” Ace teases and Sabo squeaks in indignation making you laugh loudly as he begins to argue with Ace, his son still contently in his arms. 

However, just because you have a baby, it doesn't stop either of you from your duties in the Revolutionary Army. He’s always with at least one of you while you work on your duties. 

A lot of those in the army find the little boy adorable and a breath of fresh air to all the shit they see. 

The baby boy loves his Daddy’s hat and goggles. When he was young it was the perfect thing to gnaw on, leaving baby slobber on the rim of the hat or the goggle lenses. When he’s a little older, he enjoys playing peek-a-boo with the hat and pulling on the goggles

And it’s hilarious when the baby gets distracted and lets go of those goggles, smacking Sabo in the face.

He likes smacking his tiny hand on faces, which you affectionately coin as Dragon-Claw Fist Baby Edition

Sabo absolutely loves it, and encourages it. He does have a near heart attack when the baby does it to Dragon. Thankfully the Leader of the Revolutionary Army takes it well enough.

Sometimes during meetings he finds you in the crowd with his son nestled in a sling, cradled protectively to you and he just stares, smiling gently at the two of you. His little family. Koala will occasionally have to call him multiple times to pull him out of his thoughts, much to her amusement and his embarrassment.

“I know your son is adorable. But we do need to make plans.”

“I know, I know. Sorry.”

“Are you jealous? Do you want me to go over there and snag him so you can hold him instead? Would that make you feel better?”

“Oh shut up.”

At night when Sabo checks on his son, he finds himself staring for what feels like hours as the infant sleeps peacefully in his crib. He runs his thumb over that tiny fist, smiling as those tiny fingers curl and flex at the touch, squirming in his sleep, before settling. He chuckles softly to himself, feeling his heart squeeze with affection and love for this little boy. 

‘This…this is what I’m fighting for’ He thinks to himself as he watches his son sleep, suckling a pacifier. A world for his son to be free and safe. And he’ll make it happen. 

First off, he doesn’t even realize that something is wrong at first. You’ve been keeping it quiet about your sudden bouts of sickness and he was busy. So at your next port you quietly go to the doctor there.

When he tells you that you’re expecting, you just sit there in silence for a moment, hand resting on your stomach.

A baby…you were having a baby. Law was going to be a father.

Panic quickly sets in and you hurriedly leave, heading back to the docks, mind racing. You didn’t even know that you could get pregnant, especially with how careful Law is.

Your mind distantly plays back to the last island and the party that The Strawhats had dragged the crew to…alcohol had been flowing pretty liberally…

Getting back and telling Law that you need to talk to him (privately) and then telling him the news is…almost comical.

Because the stern, annoyed expression on his face about you leaving without telling anyone goes away when you tell him the news.

And that expression is replaced with one of stark panic.

A million thoughts went racing through his head. And he stumbles back from you, shaking his head and leaves you there in his room, muttering about needing some air.

He leaves you standing there as he shambles himself away from the ship, and that hurts more than you realized

He finds himself now wandering the same town you had wandered around in earlier, his mind racing. How could he have gotten you pregnant? He knew how, but seas, he had been careful.

This was Strawhat’s fault. He just knew it. He was never going to a feast with them again!

But that didn’t solve the predicament now!

He didn’t know what would happen to the baby. He had removed the Amber Lead in his body, but the Syndrome was hereditary. It was why he had never considered children. The very thought of seeing his own child suffering like he had, like Lami makes him physically ill. But it was happening…and he couldn’t stop it. He didn’t know how he was supposed to react to this.

Then another thought passes through him…how would Cora react? And he slows as he stops to think. Honestly? He would have tripped and fallen down…and somehow caught on fire.

But then he would have been happy. Happy for him. 

And something in his heart squeezes at that thought.

When he gets back he finds you curled up in the fetal position on his bed, crying silently. He feels guilty over being the cause of that, though he is loathe to admit it. And with that he sits on the edge of the bed. He knows you’ve sensed him because you stiffen as though you were turned to stone.

He apologizes in his own manner, brushing your hair back as he explains why he panicked the way he did. He doesn’t know what will happen and that terrifies him. And the two of you finally discuss what this change will bring and you promise no matter what that you love him and the baby and that won’t change.

He stares at you for a long while before grumbling about being jealous that a random doctor knew before him, and you tearfully laugh. You notice his hand is now resting on your stomach and that unease vanishes just slightly.

Everything changes overnight

Good luck trying to convince the man that you were perfectly capable of doing something while you’re pregnant. He doesn’t let you pick up anything heavier than a medical tool, and even then he is quite reluctant to let you hold those.

The crew is always within stones throw from you and Bepo is suddenly always right next to you, and is highly protective of you. People joke it's those animal instincts of his, you wonder if Law has put him up to this.

Neither will answer you when you ask them that

Baby-proofing the Polar Tang is hilarious to watch

You get used to the barrage of exams he does throughout the pregnancy, checking to see how the baby is doing, making sure their heart is beating strong and the development is on track.

He has nightmares about the pregnancy though. Ones of you dying, ones of finding out the infant has Amber Lead Syndrome, and the worst one? The nightmare of both you dying and he can’t save you

He holds you close after those nightmares.

Then one night, deep under the ocean, you go into labor. 

And the pain is indescribable. Everything hurts. But Law can’t comfort you the way he wants to as he’s delivering the child

He’s a doctor first, lover second. 

After several hours their child comes screaming into the world, healthy and strong. 

You glance at Law as he took the measurements, weighed the little girl, making sure she was alright 

Finally, finally he can assure himself that the baby is fine. Healthy. 

He turns to you, holding your child who is still crying, the weight now a welcome feel in his arms. 

“It’s a girl” is all he says

He hands you your daughter, staring at you as you bond with your child. He doesn’t realize he is crying until you wipe under his eyes. He pulls you close and you both bond with your child.

As much as he complained, that little girl is the light of Law’s life. She’s usually found in his arms and if she isn’t, he seems grumpier 

They play doctor and patient when she gets older and you can’t help but laugh at the sight of an annoyed Law covered in bandages and getting kisses to heal booboos

The crew keep trying to bring her to him because he's more agreeable with her there, much to your chargin and amusement 

The only one who gets to hold her about the same as you and Law is Bepo. And she enjoys snuggling up to the giant polar bear. A living stuffed animal and the trusted baby-sitter

There are some nights when he can’t sleep that he goes over to watch her as she sleeps, running a hand over her tiny chest, feeling her chest rise and fall, feeling her heartbeat.

I’m a new One Piece Imagine and Headcanon Writer. I’ve written before (and still am writing) but this is my first time really using 2nd/1st POV rather than 3rd POV. And while I will be primarily writing x Reader, I am not opposed to ships (within reason). Most of my writings will be found in my tag jamfics. Keep in mind with One Piece there are so many characters that I will try but some I may not know off the top of my head!
