The last two years of school were harder than Albus could ever imagine. He had spent them pulling himself back together, working on his grades, and keeping Quidditch his main focus. He had managed to do everything he wanted to, and was even signed to a team, excited to start the following fall. He had requested the summer to get his things together, knowing there was a lot he needed to figure out. Mostly with James. He had only seen him a hand full of times the past year. Mostly because he had been at school, and his brother in the Auror program. They had never really talked about what was going on between them, but it was undeniable there was something. Everytime they were in the room together, the sexual tension grew. It became such a problem that Al had taken to avoiding him the last break home just so he could think straight. He knew he should probably just talk to him about it, but his brother had so much on his plate already, and well, he was about to take off for quidditch. But his mind kept going back to the last night before he went back to school for Christmas. He couldn't take it anymore and had quietly made his way to James' room, locked the door, and blocked out all sounds. It was definitely more then he could handle, as he gave into the tension and let James do what he wanted. But that was it. They had talked throughout the year of course. They were brothers after all. But he hadn't told James he had shagged Scorpius a few times. He was pretty sure that wasn't going to go over well at all. He just couldn't take it anymore. James made him insatiable, and Scorpius fulfilled that need. There was nothing more to it then sex. He didn't love Scorpius like that, he was just his best mate, and the feeling was mutual. But the idea of telling James, well, it scared him. And while he didn't regret it, he did feel guilty about it. He knew James would be home tonight. Dinner would be awkward as ever, and he wasn't suer if he could completely avoid him the whole time. He wasn't sure if eh wanted to. After all,they couldn't do this. They couldn't give into whatever this was. No matter how badly he wanted it to be more. James would eventually get over whatever this was, and want to start a family, and Al figured being on the road all the time, they would probably not want to be tied down to someone anyway. He had managed to make it through dinner, smiling and joking, but James' leg brushed against his too many times to be an accident, and he did his best to just keep his head under control. He excused himself to his room after dinner, deciding maybe avoidance was the best thing. It was the only thing he could think of to keep himself from going into James' room and begging him to shag him. Because that would certainly be attractive.
