There is no hesitation in his smile; nothing that has ever come from him is dithering. Not when he thrusted his hand for a handshake the first time she met him, not when he stepped into the Quidditch field as a captain, and not now, with her head on his lap and his hands in her hair, braiding it.
"Is there a particular reason you're being extra sweet today?"
