Okay can we talk about monster anatomy and why Susie bleeds?? I always figured her references to blood and knowing how to deal with it (“Everyone bleeds, right?”, her knowing how to clean Kris’s blood stain) to the theory that she came from a human town. Even when she was revealed to have moved around, I figure that was still possible (Especially when she talks about how she “didn’t look like” she belonged when playing the piano in one of her old towns)

But her straight up bleeding is crazy?? Why does this game make so many references to blood? There was so much emphasis on That Scene, Ralsei has a whole new sprite just to emphasize the Blood. If that little bunny dude didn’t ask Kris what it feels like to be made of blood it’d be so easy to assume monsters just bleed. Then again, the “Monsters’ dust gets spread on their favorite item” is also something that still carries over from Undertale. Do monsters still literally turn to dust when they die, or is it just tradition to get cremated?

Information so far:

Monsters’ dust get spread on their favorite item after death, a tradition carried over from Undertale (But it’s worded vaguely enough to possibly just imply cremation)

Susie doesn’t immediately recognize Gerson’s dust on the hammer statue, while Kris does. (I interpreted this as Kris recognizing the monster tradition while she didn’t, but it could also just be the fact that Kris is aware of Gerson’s importance/passing and recognized it sooner than Susie, esp cus it was dark)

Susie knows how to clean blood stains like it’s a regular occurrence (concerning)

Susie references blood often, “Everyone bleeds”, “fruit juice looks like blood”

The bunny kid in the apartment asks Kris “what’s it like to be made of blood”, initially implying that monsters don’t usually bleed.

Like i think before TMK came out and I first heard a season 3 AND a movie were coming out I had the idea that they’d stretch out TMK which I think would make a cool au type thing

It could be as simple of a change as the changling spell not being instantly reversed when the daughters are reunited with their mothers, then hilda being forced to go back to trollberg but needing to stay on the down low cus the troll conflict isn’t resolved yet, with the rest of the story following how to reverse the spell

I’ve been like writing basic points of this theoretical au and I might post more abt it cus I have been thinking about it for 3 years
