The Scissor Sisters are a dazzling light in this world. Amazing humans, true artists, making NYC and the East Village proud. They trusted me to do three sessions with them, surprising gorgeous sessions they were... These are a few of my faves images, they were hard to pick. Interview ( the big black room set in my studio on Broadway), Blender ( huge pink cyc with a vintage Rolls Royce), and press images for “NIGHT WERK” (in the stinky “Mona’s” on Ave B) Two of them shot at “Bath house studios”, my fave studios in NYC. My son Nomi Star when he was 10 asked, “dad have you ever heard of the Scissor Sisters?, yes young man I have… Well Dad they are my fave band right now. He loves the sisters, discovering them on his own,(my kid is cool). It’s pleasure to dance in the living room “, and explaining what the SS means, a surprise highlight of being a father.
