In chapter 1, after you exit the egg room, it spits you back out at the bakesale, which... is a few rooms back.
...always found that odd. but now... we're getting somewhere.
okay, thats on the nose. NOW you'd think the next day would refer to where to find him in ch3, but consider the fact that the ch3 dark world happens during the night. this refers to the ch4 dark world...
...so now that leaves...
...and if you know the secret boss of ch4 any bit, i think you can see where this is going about ch5. fields of pink and gold...
BUT in regards to the OTHER stuff the man says in ch3, well. its much more obtuse.
i think the new areas in the stream were like. really special
i sensed a common theme as soon as we got to see the second one
rather than just being big new content / new fancy areas that deeply add to the story or lore or anything, they just. are a bit more. little places, that remind you that theres MORE to the world of undertale than just what you get to explore, what you get to see. theres an entire underground, not just the paths frisk can take. theres more people than just the ones you can find. ofc
this isnt something GROUNDBREAKING for a creator to say about their game, i dont mean to imply oh my god toby is a GENIUS for telling people that they should think about more than just what is presented but for the way it was presented here? the context? thats what i appreciate
like you know what else probably existed? whatever you can imagine. maybe we dont need to be shown entire areas to just... imagine , what those places would be like. little glimpses presented to us, feel like reminders of "yknow that cool castley place you saw in the ruins? maybe think about that some more" it reminds us to think of the world of undertale as not just static (ahead is mostly reiterating points cus ig i do that sometimes when i feel like i didnt word my words good enough idk lmao)
