He still didn’t really understand it, but he’d spent the entirety of Spring break suffering because of the fight he’d had with Simon. He understood the fight, sort of, but what he didn’t get was why it became such a big deal -- and why they’d both let it drag on so long. They rarely argued, and never enough to get angry at each other by the end of it. Bram’s Spring break had been filled with video games and junk food with Garrett, which he was incredibly grateful for because Garrett did his best to cheer him up... but Simon and he had so many plans for their week off of school, and now he wasn’t even able to bring himself to call him. It was Simon who’d said they should take a break, after all, and Bram wasn’t going to disrespect his wishes. Sure, Simon not showing up at his game when he’d explicitly asked him to be there had really hurt, but it was Simon not being willing to explain what he was doing that really threw him... Still, Simon probably had a good reason, and he should have at least given him a chance. The fight itself is a blur in his head, and all he wants to do is pretend it never happened and lay in Simon’s bed tucked against his chest for the remainder of break. It’s Wednesday when Simon finally texts him asking if he wants to talk, and Bram doesn’t hesitate to text back ‘yes’. As uncomfortable and awkward as this talk might be, if it gets him his boyfriend back he’ll suffer through it. Over five days without Simon... that was far too many. They decide to meet at the park down the road from Simon’s house, and Bram currently waits on a park bench kicking his shoes at the dirt path beneath him. He’s so nervous he just feels nauseous -- because what if Simon only called him here to break up with him entirely? It seems unlikely, but this whole fight felt off... maybe there was more going on.
