Virginia Woolf, born today 1882
Virginia Woolf delivered abstract genius: “Jacob’s Room” “A Room of One’s Own” “Mrs. Dalloway” “Monday and Tuesday” https://americanliterature.com/author/virginia-woolf
On this day in 1882 Adeline Virginia Stephen (Woolf) was born. In my opinion, she is one of the greatest novelist and essayist that I have ever come across - hence my collection of her books. Virginia’s talent for writing can be compared to the likes of Picasso and his art. Her writing is eccentric, layered, bold and honest. She was always ahead of the game, never afraid to step outside of the box and try new things. She was a wild horse! 🔹 🔹 🔹 “Blame it or praise it, there is no denying the wild horse in us. To gallop intemperately; fall on the sand tired out; to feel the earth spin; to have - positively - a rush of friendship for stones and grasses, as if humanity were over, and as for men and women, let them go hang - there is no getting over the fact that this desire seizes up pretty often.” * * * * * #VirginiaWoolf #vwoolf #JacobsRoom #bookcollection #bookpiles #adelinevirginiawoolf #booksonbooksonbooks #mybooks #pilesofbooks #bookshimmy #bookseverywhere #obviousstate @obviousstate
