Thirty minutes into the four hour car ride home and the only noise to come from Antonio was the occasional opening and closing of a switch blade. This was usually the point where heād crack some sort of joke at his own expense about how this mustāve been the longest heās gone without saying something, but he never made the expected quip.Ā Instead, Antonio sank down further in his seat and continued to frown out the window in silence while trying to piece together just why having a mole in the group was bothering him this much.Ā
Naturally he wasnāt able to come up with much of an explanation that made sense to him. Flat out refusing to acknowledge that caring about the other Grizzlies and the stability of the group mightāve been responsible for his feelings definitely didnāt help. He only managed to give himself a massive headache from thinking in circles and trying to come up with a bunch of shallow explanations. Stupid fucking mole. And to think things wouldāve gone much differently if some fucker didnāt betray them. He really hoped they got what was coming to them.
Another thirty or so minutes passed before he really got fed up with himself and all this thinking, so he finally broke his silence,Ā āAt least things will be exciting for a while. You know, with a hunt for a traitor, lots of brutal punishments, and the inevitable death of said traitor. Should be a blast." A more carefree expression replaced his scowl as he continued to carry on in normal Antonio fashion ā cracking jokes and making light of the situation like it wasnāt bothering him in the slightest. āOh!ā He quickly sat back up in his seat, causing him to wince slightly when the seatbelt brushed against his newest wound.Ā āAll this is like an early birthday present to me ā which thank fuck. Can you imagine if my birth month was dull? Maybe I should write a nice thank you card to the traitor.ā A brief, thoughtless pause followed. āTraitors? How many do you think there are? Because I would feel awful if I only thanked one when there are others.ā
