happiest birthday to the eternal king, jackson wang!

i got on a roll thinking about lucky’s grandpa. i truly love the day family.

Jackson Wyatt Day. but more often he goes by “Jack” or “Jacky”

Lived and worked on his family’s ranch in Savannah 

a Vietnam war vet. he was drafted in the mid 1960′s

he hated every single moment of it, and thought it was useless for them to be there

injured badly in an attack, a bomb went off near by and he nearly lost his leg. this is how he meets Dr. Sykes (Vivi’s grandpa) who worked as a combat medic and saved Jack’s life and leg

After Jack recovered was sent back home

He walks with a limp from the injury

Kept in close touch with Dr. Sykes and it began a life long friendship that carries on with their children and so on

Marjorie “Marge” Melanie Yates was a debutante that Jack was always head over heels for, but she barely gave him the time of day until he left for war.   - from there on they would write letters back and forth for the three years he was deployed. Marge realizing she cared for Jack more than she thought and was just being superficial with her feelings

A year later after he returned they married

Jack inherits the ranch after his father passes away

Five kids: Jeff, Jordan, Joey, Jason, and Jenny (J names became a running joke with him and Marge)
