He couldn’t believe last night had happened. Though initially having feared awkwardness, with June being one of his two dates for the evening, Vic had quickly come to realize that it had been silly to be so nervous. It was just June, after all. They’d been roommates for awhile and friends for even longer and the night would be fine, nothing different than when the three of them (the third being Jack, of course) would hang out...except it wasn’t Jack, and it was in fact another girl, and it was supposed to be a date. But Jocelyn had been perfectly nice, and Vic had been perfectly content to go to the movies after their cooking class with both of them. Only, June had won the fantasy suite, and invited Vic. Only Vic. He couldn’t say he hadn’t thought anything about the offer when it was presented to him, knowing what the suite itself implied, but he’d accepted anyways. They were just going to watch movies. They did that at the apartment all the time. What’d occurred sometime during the movies? Not so much.Â
Vic felt bad leaving her there, but he had to get home to shower and get ready to meet the band for rehearsal. He’d left a note by her side and a kiss to her forehead and thanked God it was so early that he didn’t have to worry about running into Jack. He wasn’t sure if he’d notice that the two hadn’t come home, or that June had very much won the suite, or that Vic was in the same clothes they’d gone out in the night before, but he didn’t want to put it to the test. Opening the door to the apartment as quietly as he was able, Vic all but tiptoed inside, being conscious not to knock into anything as he rounded the corner and--“Holy shit!” He flinched, eyes going wide as he stared at his friend. “Bro, you scared the shit out of me.”
