“How’d your date go?” Beau looked across at the man with a cheeky smile. Only knowing when he saw Jack out late at night with a mysterious woman. The two were best friends, and up until recently friends with benefits but that was until the blonde had started dating Piper. Everything was the same between them, nothing awkward which he was happy about. “Also-- you remember that your brother is holding the annual Christmas get together this year.”

“You won’t believe what happened today,” Mira started the instant Jack walked in the front door. The mother had been cooking up a storm, as it was one of her ways to relieve stress and anger. “It makes me furious,” she ferociously whisked a bowl of brownie batter. Hoping that cooking all of Dexter’s favorite things would cheer him up. “You know how his class was going to the Polar express today for a field trip. Well, Dexter didn’t make it to the bathroom in time and had an accident. No one called me to me let know, so that meant he went all day in soiled clothes. I didn’t find out until going to pick him up-- his jeans were completely soaked as well as his shoes, Jack. It’s ridiculous.... it makes me want to go back to homeschooling him.” She sighed, setting down the bowl to look up over at the man. “Dex hasn’t come out of his room since we got home. Do you think you could go cheer him up?” Mira asked.

“How’s that roommate situation of yours coming along?” Nevada mused as he looked over at hsi brother. They were both perched on a boat and fishing out on the local lake there in town. The weather was superb with the sun beating down on them as he wore a hat and sunglasses to shade him
