I'm re-listening to my source (tales from the gas station) and honestly? I miss Jerry a lot.
I miss the stupid jokes, and the constant drunken shenanigans, and the long nights we'd spend together reading and playing video games and watching cheesy romcoms or old horror movies.
I miss reading aloud to him as he worked on whatever project he was building/deconstructing, and I miss him coming in to pester me during my shifts at the gas station (even though we see each other at home when we're both off work).
I feel sappy saying all of this, but I genuinely *do* miss him. He was my partner, both in crime and in life, and he made my life infinitely better by being in it. I miss him in all of his chaotic glory, and I hope, wherever he is, that he's safe and cared for (and under adult supervision so he doesn't almost drown in a koi pond or something again)
