Last Monday, Dec 17. The day we saw a black cat and a big bird of prey in our garden / Jack collecting leaves for the compost / Garlic doing well, must plant it soon / Jack making pickles with me - it’s his new favourite veggie 😊

Friday: Making sourdough for pizza night! Process starts at 10am for dinner at 6! It’s all about the sourdough today.. Nina was saying “Sourdough, sourdough, what do you see?” And referring to our next sourdough, Jack said “The sourdough will be so happy that it’s creamy... and it loves the world!!”

They stole some lettuce from the counter ☺️ This means they are hungry and I’m not making dinner quick enough 😄

Last Wednesday: busy day in the kitchen for Jack. In the morning we went to Whole Foods and he bought a whole pack of mushrooms for himself. While Nina was having her nap, he washed and cooked his mushrooms in butter and garlic and ate half the pack. Afterwards he helped me make burgers for burger night, which he was very excited about! 😊

Friday 😊 Yummy Parmesan!

May 12 and 13: Jack making 3-ingredient pumpkin pancakes 😊 So proud of him, and he was very proud of himself too. He’s been working with me in the kitchen since he was about 18 months old. It’s been amazing watching him get better and better at his kitchen skills, and so heartwarming to see him work confidently, doing many things by himself now. He took a couple of pancakes to school for Mrs Sanden because she told him they’re her favourite 💕
