Premise: In which Jack can't help but bite the apple that has been offered to her. The day after Liara non-chalantly tells Jack that her real name is Jennifer, the biotic storms into Liara's quarters on the Normandy and fiercely prompts the asari to share more about her. Demanding the truth even though she knows it will be painful. Liara not only helps Jack locate the mother Cerberus has torn from her over twenty years ago, but she offers her a spot in the galaxy's best private mental health 'oasis', a clinic built by an asari that has endured centuries of confinement and trauma. Though hesitating, Jack takes the offer. Filled with specialists, Jack is given treatment and even finds a new hobby, learning to play the drums. While she is figuring out who she is, she is accompanied by a pet bird she is taking care of at the clinic. Though Liara and other friends from the Normandy check in from time to time, Jack often finds herself having holo-calls with the asari in the evenings. A friendship develops, which soon blossoms into a love neither of the two ever thought they would harbor for one another -- though they feel nothing but bliss in it.
