Help Wanted!
Calling all amateur sleuths. I need help with my research into the life of Happy Jack Ilfrey.
Ilfrey was very closeted during his life but did reveal to Chris Case that his life had much in common with Jack and Fred. Sadly, Ilfrey never felt able to go public about his sexuality during his lifetime.
Apparently his close friend Beck Woodrow Wilkinson, aka Becky or Woody, ran a business together in San Antonio. After Ilfrey's death a "Mrs" BW Wilkinson donated Ilfrey's dress service coat to the national museum of the USAF. I'm wondering if any Wingmen fans have access to newspaper records from San Antonio for the period 1945-2005 as these may give some extra insight into Ilfrey's and Wilkinson's relationship when they returned to civilian life in San Antonio.
