Does....does Beyblade count as mecha?
The only thing unrealistic about "The Rising of the Shield Hero" is that everyone hates a tank, which Naofumi, the Shield Hero, essentially is.
Like, the other three heroes - or, as I like to call them, The Three Stooges - ragged on the shield for being useless, but apparently all of them played MMORPGs before they were isekai'd. And I don't care if you didn't like playing Tanks, you would never call one useless!
Though, maybe I should take that into account. You know, with how stupid they are.
Dammit, Smogon! My stupid Pokemon Team gimmick doesn't work cause I can't use Dynamax in Doubles!
It’s funny to me how Kishimoto could never top the Sasuke Recovery Arc-at least, to me, he couldn’t. This, in my opinion, is peak Naruto. Not because Naruto or the others are at their peak, but because it combines all I love about the series:
Strategic planning and subterfuge.
Teamwork.
Moments of relationship dynamics between the squad.
And the epic 1v1 battles where much weaker characters have to fight older, more experienced ninja with crazier powers and have to survive with a mix of wit, surprise, and sheer determination.
Even though the mission ended in failure, I love this so much. I love the moments where we see the boys (minus Neji) were troublemakers at school, planting this small friendship already (and I love how Naruto and Neji, who were once rivals with different points of view have to come together for the sake of the mission).
I kinda wish Naruto moving forward, Naruto went more in this direction, with Naruto going in Five-Man Squads with the other members of Konoha 11 (or 12 if we live in the bizarro fanfic universe where the mission was a success, lol) and we got to show off the other members of Naruto's age group. Maybe would've given them a few more moments to shine. Could've even given Sasuke a redemption arc and given him and Sakura some ACTUAL chemistry.

Jeez, Tumblr, what's the point of a community label for mature and sexual themes then?
I know that maybe, like, 5 people on this site would've actually gave a damn, but, like, come on.
But whatever, I guess. Here's a link to my dA stash of the pic and story proper. It DOES involve NSFW art from a D-Tier artist, so be wary.
...Fuck, Code Lyoko was a horror show, wasn't it?
Oh, yeah, I know what you're thinking. 'Jac, it's TV-Y7 for fear, don't you see the ratings on Netflix'. And, yeah, I see that. But, like, some of these episodes are genuinely terrifying the more I think about 'em.
Like, yeah, there are the silly episodes. Like, the giant teddy bear episode, that's goofy. But, like, there's the episode like...
Laughing Fit, where basically sentient clouds of laughing gas chase the Lyoko Warriors and nearly chokes them to death (and gives Jeremie the choice of EITHER choking to death or going numb and drowning in the sewers).
Swarming Attack, where X.A.N.A. possesses hornets and basically has them hunt down anyone and everyone in these massive swarms and where they'll eat you alive!
Plagued, where basically the same thing happens, but this time with FUCKING RATS instead. And, mind you, we see X.A.N.A. possess a rat, bite another rat, and basically create an army of zombie rats.
The episode I JUST watched, Killer Music, where X.A.N.A. puts people into comas after listening to music, practically causing an epidemic of people dying with Joker-like smiles on their faces.
And I'm not there yet, but I VERY VIVIDLY remember an episode where one of X.A.N.A.'s monsters materialize in the real world and nearly straight up KILL JIM, like, no joke, he survives by like half a second.
And, like, the reason I'm listing ALL OF THIS is because, as a kid, I was totally unfazed by any of this. But now, as an adult, I'm finally starting to realize that this show is kinda scary. XD Like, it's a cartoon, but this show is out for blood. And when we get into the later seasons, with X.A.N.A. getting stronger and more sadistic, this shit is gonna ramp up. But in the early seasons where X.A.N.A.'s attacks were more random, they are surprisingly efficient in generating horror.
So, I don't really got a lot to say about Sonic Prime or its trailer. It looks neat. I think Sonic's animated serieses tend to look really good-yes, even Underground-and I really like this multiverse concept it's going for. It's cool.
Okay, so, moving forward, this has literally nothing to do with Sonic Prime itself, I'm just using it as a springboard.
