the fact that people are in the odyssey tags criticising the nolan movie for its changes to the original myth (valid) only to then turn around and recommend epic: the musical of all things as a “more accurate” alternative is hysterical like please. let’s be serious now
#the fact that it has the nobody scene does not change the fact that that musical ends#with odysseus PHYSICALLY BEATING POSEIDON WITH HIS OWN TRIDENT. do people not remember that#it has him ACTIVELY CHOOSING to let zeus kill his whole crew SOLELY so his own life will be spared#and if we’re gonna talk about omissions epic omits a lot more than the movie#which is fine i like epic fine for what it is#but i need people to realise that calling it ‘accurate’ is um. kinda insane#epic!odysseus and homer!odysseus are barely the same character#the odyssey#the odyssey 2026#my posts#j1#j2#j3#j4
