Dean gets sent back in time to WWII and meets a femme des lettres, Delphine. She caught his eye immediately. Where will this lead?
*some fluff, some smut and some angst
(for the gif forget about the dagger. imagine its not there lol)
The air was cold as Dean plopped out of nowhere. Suddenly he was on a cold unsteady ground, the rusty walls leaking. Looking down at himself he saw he was now wearing a navy uniform. He then knew the time travel had worked. He was a bit jumpy, unsure of what he should do now. Cas. Where did Cas go?
âCas!â Dean whispered. âCas, get your ass out here!â Muffled footsteps came from through the submarineâs hallways. Panicked, Dean dropped down and slid under the beds. A smell of man sweat filled his nose. âUgh. Gross.â he groaned to himself. When the footsteps were no longer heard, Dean got out from under the beds and walked to the door. He popped his head out slightly to look around. Dean looked up at the flickering lights for a while contemplating which way of the hallway he should take. Left. He decided heâd go left. As he passed a group of men, Dean awkwardly nodded his head at them with and awkward smile. He didnt really know where he was going but he knew what he was looking for.
Dean heard voices coming from one of the rooms. It was odd. It sounded like a woman speaking but why would a woman be in the submarine? Curious, he walked over to the door. Before actually walking in, Dean leaned in the eavesdrop a little. âYup. Definitely a womanâ he thought. It still didnât make sense to him so he walked closer to the door. Dean cleared his throat and everyone stopped talking to look at him. He stepped over the ledge of the door when the woman broke the silence.
There she was. Sitting upon the other men. Dean froze for a second at the sight of her. She was so beautiful and her French accent made Dean melt a little. The woman looked at Dean with a frown.
âExcuse me?â She rushed.
âOh! UhâŠIâm, Iâm Dean.â He said trying to keep his cool.
âHey.â Dean added at the woman with a cheeky grin. Obviously he had forgotten for a second where he was and what he was there for. He couldnât help but notice a strange wooden box lying on the table in front of the beautiful woman. âWhatâs the box for?â He asked.
One of the men there answered, âItâs not up to you to ask questions. Iâve never seen you here before. Whatâs your rank?â The man asked doubtfully. Dean didnât have a proper answer or anything to change the subject. As soon as Dean was about to speak a new voice appeared at the doorway.
âThatâs the guy i saw snooping around the dormitory!â Dean turned around and there stood a man pointing at him followed by another man. They walked in and one of them said very severely, âcome here kid.â The man grabbed Deanâs arms and bent him over the table, patting him to find any weapons.
Dean rolled his eyes thinking ânot againâ. âListen, I wasnât snooping I just lost, uh, a contact lens?â Dean argued, unsure of his own response. The man let go of Deanâs arms when he grabbed something out of his pocket. Dean had the time to look at the manâs name tag; M.Jackson.
Jackson looked at the black rectangle, looking at it from every angle. He looked up at the other man who was with him and tossed him the rectangle that was in fact Deanâs phone. âDennis, what do you think this is?â Dennis catched it mid-air and also examined the phone. âSome kind of spying machine?â
âMaybe this bastard is recording us!â Dennis answered. Dean put his hands out, maybe to show he was unarmed. âListen itâs really not what you think. In fact,â he chuckled, âitâs probably the last thing youâd think.â
âWhat is it,â Dennis grinned at Jackson, âare you going to say youâre from the future?â
âWellâŠâ Dean gestured with his hands.
Everyone stopped and looked at Dean like if he was crazy. He didnât know where to start and was looking for the right words to say. He glanced into Dennisâ hands and saw his cell phone. âSee,â he pointed at it. âThat isnât a spying gear. Itâs actually a phone. Itâs called a cell phone.â He paused for a reaction.
Deanâs ears rose when he heard the beautiful accent again. âAre you trying to say that a home phone can fit in a manâs pocket?â she scuffed. âPlease. Thatâs insane. You sound insane right now.â
Dean shook his head in agreement. âI know what it sounds like but trust me. Iâm from the year 2016 and Iâm here for that.â He pointed to the wooden box in front on the woman.
She looked intrigued at him, leaning back against her chair. âIs that soâŠâ
âDelphine, please tell us whatâs in the box and why this crazy man wants it.â One of the men said.
So Delphine was her name. Dean liked the sound of it. So soft and sweet. He still couldnât understand how beautiful she was. Her long brown hair tied up left plenty of room to see her face which, as Dean constantly thought, was beautiful.
Delphine was about to speak when Dean said, âItâs the hand of God.â
The men both let out a snort. If they hadnât already thought Dean was out of his mind well they definitely did now. âThe hand of god?â one of them asked with an arrogant ton.
âI know what this sounds like but yes. The hand of God.â Dean added.
Delphine got up and grabbed the wooden box. She stared at it a while and, like a sudden realization, she rushed, âThatâs crazy. Now if youâd excuse me.â And she left the room.
Dean watched her go and couldnât help but actually watch her go. She had a nice ass he thought. He awkwardly squeezed by both men â âscuse me. Sorry.â He said. âIâll justâŠâ he gestured to the door but didnât finish his sentence as he walked out.
It was difficult finding Delphine in this big submarine. Where would she have gone? As Dean was starting to think heâd never find her, he heard Delphine mumbling to herself in French from another room. Â He walked in, unsure and kind of nervous. She was facing the portholes and the view her here with the fishes through the windows made Deanâs palms sweaty and made his heart race a little.
âHey, again.â Dean said approaching Delphine.
She turned around, her ponytail spinning majestically behind her. âSo! Time travel huh?â she frowned.
Dean slightly threw his head back. âYeah. I mean I know itâs hard to believe-â
âI believe you.â Delphine interrupted
A look of surprise hit Deanâs face. âIâm not complaining here but, uh, why?â he said.
Delphine shrugged. âIâve seen weird things in my life. Believing an attractive man who says heâs from the future is probably a normal thing for me.â
Dean tried not to blush. He shook his head out of it to stay âmanlyâ. He cleared his throat and decided to put his mission on pause. âSoâŠâ he took a step forward, âyou think Iâm attractive?â Dean smirked.
Delphine rolled her eyes. âLike you havenât heard that before.â She said sarcastically.
Dean laughed and was also pleasantly surprised when Delphine walked straight to him, pushed at his chest until he was against the wall. They looked at each other, Dean with some sort of confusion and excitement and Delphine with a look of determination. She then pulled him closer into a kiss. His hands went into the air at first but quickly, he gently placed one of them at the small of her back, pulling her closer and put his other hand behind her head. They kissed passionately; theyâre hands wondering all about their bodies. It was nice. A mix of cute and aggressive which Dean thought was marvelous. Delphine unlocked her lips from Deanâs and backed her head away leaving Dean in a daze, his eyes still closed. He wouldnât let go of her, wanting this moment to last just a little longer. She looked at him and smiled.
âCome. I have something to show you.â Delphine unlocked Deanâs hands from around her and pulled him to follow her.
They ran in the hallways hand in hand, Dean couldnât hold back a chuckle at how unpredictable this woman was and she would turn back and smile at him. Occasionally, they would stop running and walk when they saw other men making their way to wherever they had to go and then start running again when the men turned a corner. It was hard to concentrate on his mission as he saw Delphine run in front of him almost seeing it in slow motion. Her beautiful hair bouncing up and down as she ran and her smile made Deanâs heart skip a beat.
They stopped running when they reached the end of a corridor with only one locked door. Delphine bent down and picked at the lock on the door until it opened.
âThis is my favourite room.â She said in that accent that made Dean melt. Inside there were nothing but supplies, blankets and large windows leaving view of the deep blue ocean. Dean walked in with wide eyes. Even with all the adventures and things heâd been through, he had never seen the ocean from this angle. He found it soothing and serene to see how quiet and calm the water seemed. Like if nothing could get to him at that moment. He turned his head to face Delphine and saw her sigh at the sight of the water.
âDo you come here often?â he said, trying to be funny. She didnât quite get the joke and simply responded yes.
âWhat I do is I take these blankets,â Delphine said making her way to pick up blankets, âand I place them here on the floor. Then I sit here for hours just looking at the fishes and sometimes sharks. You should close the door.â She added pointing at the open door.
Dean did as she said and went to help her lay the blankets in front of the windows. They installed themselves on them, Delphine sitting with her legs to her chest and Dean lying on his side, holding himself up with his arm. He watched Delphine looking at the ocean and he thought there was no other place heâd rather be at that moment.
âSo tell me about yourself. Any family?â Dean asked, genuinely intrigued.
âNo not really. I did once butâŠsome were killed when I was younger like my parents and now, with the warâŠI lost my-âDelphine stopped herself and looked away. âIt doesnât matter at this point.â She said, wiping a tear from her eye.
Dean felt a rush of sadness and compassion. He took her hand away from her legs and held it. They stayed like so for a little while until Delphine moved her hand away, shaking away her feelings. âWhat about you? Any family?â
Dean sat up and cleared his throat. âUh, yeah. I have a little brother, Sammy. Yeah,â he smiled, âSamâs great. He was kind of a brat when he was younger but I like him.â He chuckled. His expression changed and he added, âWeâve been on a, letâs say, family road trip, ever since we were kids.â
Delphine frowned, not understanding what Dean meant. âHunting.â He clarified.
âOh like deers and mooses? I donât care much for thatâŠâ Delphine said with a ton of slight disgust. It surprised Dean that this woman would be so sensitive to animals and that she didnât know about the worldâs monsters. She did have the hand of God after all she mustâve knownâŠ
âNo, not like that. Uh,â he tried to find a good way to break it to her. âLike monstersâŠâ
Delphine smiled, âI know. I was joking.â She playfully pushed his shoulder. Dean grinned and looked out the window again.
âAlso I have this friend. He isnât technically part of my family but it still counts. His name is Castiel. I call him Cas. Heâs an angel.â He added.
Delphine smiled, intrigued. âAn angel huh? Wow, you know how to choose your friends.â She turned and laid herself on her stomach then Dean did the same and their hands touched. They stayed that way and looked at each other. Deanâs breathing changed as he looked Delphine in the eyes and Delphine tried to hide it but her breathing changed too. They slowly leaned into each other, never breaking eye contact until they were finally kissing.
Their kiss was tender. Dean cupped Delphineâs face in one of his hands and with the other he pulled her closer to him. Grabbing a handful of Deanâs hair, Delphine rolled onto him, making Dean rest on his back. Slowly, the kissing got a bit more intimate and Deanâs hands wondered over Delphineâs green jacket. He made his way down her arm and grabbed her hand that was resting on the ground next to his ear and brought it up in front of him. Their tongues tangled together in the most beautiful way. Their hands intertwined and Dean caressed her fingers with his thumb. Delphine sat up, her legs on either side of Deanâs waist and she untied her ponytail, ruffling her hair a little. Dean stood his head up and couldnât help an erection. Delphine looked down at where she was sitting and grinned looking up again at him. She then took off her jacket and threw it on the side. Dean stood his upper body up and Delphine helped him take his shirt off. He then held her close as they kissed again. Delphine left him wanting more as she pulled away and went back on her knees to unbuckle Deanâs belt. He then pushed off his jeans and tossed them aside, making his way to Delphineâs blouse. Clumsily, he unbuttoned it and slid it off her shoulders. Dean couldnât help but notice a sigil on her chest but, in the moment, didnât mention it. She removed off her skirt and quickly took off her bra leaving her breast bare. Before moving again, Dean took a good look at her. He still couldnât believe how beautiful she was. He grabbed her boobs and handled them with care as he kissed her neck. A moan escaped her mouth and her hands dropped down to Deanâs boxers and slid into them, grabbing his dick. It was his turn to moan. She stroked his already hard cock leaving, making Dean thrust against her hand. Delphine let go of him.
âNo.â Dean whispered, pleading.
Shushing him, she went down to take off his boxers and slid out of hers. Dean smiled at her as she went back down to kissing him. He rolled them both over so that he was now on top of her. His hands made their way over her body. Exploring every inch of it. Leaving a trail of kisses over her body, Dean made his way down leaving Delphine eager. Her head back, she played with his hair as his kisses made their way to her private parts. His tongue was like magic. He pulled her hips tight against him and Delphine moaned louder.
Dean worked his way back up to her mouth and held her hands above her head, making out with her hard. He then brought his hand down and aligned his dick before slowly thrusting into her. They let out a sigh and both at the same rhythm, fucked each other. Dean sat up and lifted Delphine up onto him. She held his shoulder and leaned back, grinding on his lap. His eyes rolled back and he kissed her neck, leaving red marks. He held her waist and made her bounce on him quicker. She whimpered and he groaned against her.As Dean felt his climax coming he took her back and lowered her on the ground, thrusting into her quickly. She squealed and held on to him tightly, pushing herself further against him. Both their mouths were open as they rapidly fucked, Dean a bit too into it. Then, simultaneously, they orgasmed together. He rested on top of her trying to catch his breath. He lifted his head, smiled and kissed her one last time before rolling to the side onto his back.
When they were dressed, they walked around the corridors holding hands. Their smiles faded when men came running the hallways screaming words that they didnât quite get. They ran to the room where they met to meet up with the others. Suddenly, he didnât want to but Dean remembered his mission. He had to tell them what was coming.
They burst into the room. âWhat is happening?â Delphine asked scared.
Like an outburst, Dean said, âWeâre being attacked. The sub is gonna sink.â A sudden realization of what that meant for Delphine hit him. He held back a cry and turned to the other men.
âAnd you know this because youâre from the future, right?â Jackson added, kind of starting to believe him.
âYes. And that,â he said taking the wooden box that contained the hand of God out of Delphineâs hands. âThis is the hand of God. I came back here to get it.â
Jackson looked down. âHow long âtil we sink? I have family on another ship, will they be fine?â
Dean looked at him sympathetically.
âOh.â Jackson said, his heart tearing apart.
âI can stop it!â Delphine intervened. âHere look.â She said pulling her blouse down to reveal her sigil. âItâs the last one to break. The warding spell is bound to my heart and blood.â She explained. Â âItâs the only way.â Dean shook his head no. Delphine took a blade that was on the table and placed it in Deanâs hands. âPlease Dean. I want you to do it.â
Dean couldnât bring himself to do it so she brought his hand up so the blade touched the center of her mark. She pressed it against her and it bled a little. Dean yanked his arm away when a loud sound came from around the submarine.
With a realization, Delphine went to the wooden box and looked at Dean. âIf I touch itâŠit will be destroyed then the Nazis wonât have itâŠâ
âPlease no it doesnât have to be this way.â Dean said. When he realized that he couldnât save her anyway, he walked up to her and wrapped his arms around her waist, lifting her up into another passionate kiss. A tear rolled down her cheek as she held his hair, pulling him closer to her. When they let go, Dean rested his head against hers, a single man tear running down his face as well.
âOk.â She sighed, pulling away. Delphine grabbed the hand of God out of its box and waited. Then the arm which she was holding the hand started to glow orange. The orange glow made its way up through her body making her scream. This sight made Dean cry out in pain. He couldnât believe she was leaving. He had just met her and now sheâs dying. In a flash, he was knelt down onto the floor, breaking down into tears and the sound of Sam rushing to him.
âDean! Dean what happened?â Sam asked worried.
Dean couldnât talk. He wasnât sure how he got back due to all the emotions. He collapsed and gasped for air he was crying so much. âSheâs-â he sobbed. âSheâs gone.â It was a long time since Dean had cried like this. All he could see when he closed his eyes was Delphine screaming with that awful orange glow filling her body. He didnât want to see that. He wanted to see her surrounded by the deep blue water, staring at the fishes, turning her head to him with a smile.
