hi GA !!!

theres a lot about emci that i like, partly in how i can relate to his character at times (though certainly not heavily) and mostly in just all of the mystery that surrounds him!

for the piece where i relate to him, i think i'm mainly just drawn to characters that have an 'outside looking in' type issue to them. this is a big part of why i like tim drake so much (STAY WITH ME), he idolized the bats and was a little stalker who then took drastic measures in order to maintain that hero worship image he had of them. its the acts of devotion, the dedication, paired with the 'being on the sidelines' of it all that is really compelling to me ! would i say this is an accurate parallel to make to what we know of EE now? no, not so much (although, maybe more for the EE we Play rather than the EE we're looking back at). but from what little we knew of him before, this kind of connection drew me in and the fixation has only mutated and grown from then with each new detail we can pull together.

it's that idea that grabs me as well, the idea that we, as the players, are learning more about Ourselves just as much as we're learning about slushie and kitty. we're literally put into emci's shoes, we're just a lost as he is, and we're experiencing every step of his descent into figuring out who he was - and just how intertwined that was with being a part of trio8.

as for my whole jester thing, thats actually been such a happy coincidence! one of many~

jesters, jokers and fools in media...the 'Wise Fool' archetype commonly found in literature like shakespeare feels specifically important to mention due to the file in Meaty's desktop section referencing King Lear and the Fool. wise fools tell truths through humor, they convey wisdom through madness, and i think thats such an key way to think about emci's role in oneway. he leads, not through orders, but through misdirection.
