While some people think that a Popeye's chicken sandwich is the way to go, they haven't found this restaurant in Calgary that has just opened up. Burnin Bird Nashville Hot Chicken is one of the cities best, if not the best spicy chicken sandwich. Located on 17th Avenue just adjacent to the bike lane on 5th Avenue on Calgary's Red Mile! After eating, we continue to put on some miles throughout the city of Calgary. Josh has been riding his trusts Kona Jake the Snake, and I continue to ride the Cervelo Aspero, although I am contemplation putting on some tubules tires, and going with slicks for a while, as I plan to head to the mountains for some rides! To follow this up he launched Mr. Beast Burger and opened 300 locations across the United States. After doing some searching we found that we had our very own Mr. Beast Burger in Calgary, Alberta Canada! So after talking to my friend @Joshwrb, we decided to plot a 100km ride to go and try out these Mr. Beast Burgers (and maybe a Karl Burger and Chandler Burger for good measures). We had to hunt to track down a location in Bowness, utilizing Calgary's fantastic cycling infrastructure. But without fail it almost ends badly thanks to a rouge white Jeep! #trainerroad #cycling #training #wahoo Will Trainer Road help me get back to a form in cycling that I was prior to a "career ending injury". My injury was so bad that I hurt to walk a couple kilometres, until a procedure on my hip 2 years ago, allowed me to get back on the bike. The first year was spent strictly pedalling indoors, so that if I felt too much pain, I wouldn't be stranded. It wasn't until last year that I did a full season on the bike. Now, feeling better, albeit out of shape, I have decided to start pushing my training in a hope to regain some fitness. Thank to @MitchOnTwoWheels I got a free 30 days of @TrainerRoad, and decided to use this to help build me back to some cycling fitness. Now being over 50 years of age, this will take some time, and naturally due to the nature of my crash, I will still encounter some mbody mechanical issues along the way. But ultimately, will Trainer Road help this 50 year old former mountain biker, cyclist, and filmmaker get back on the road again, ready to tackle some bigger adventures? We will find out. Like any Trainer Road program, we have to establish our base fitness with an FTP test. Will we be happy with the results?
