Fav AU ideas for Koma/hina
So, this is something Iām working on, and this is an AU around the Hanahiki disease ? You know, when you fall in ( unrequited ) love and starts coughing up flowers and then, you either die or get the flowers removed by surgery ?
Anyway, in this AU Komaeda is as lucky and unlucky as ever, and he works in a Flower Shop with Mikan, where he promises to make the best foral arragement for Hopeās Peak students. See, Komaeda loves the Hopeās Peak Student so much, that he is able to get the Hanahiki disease for them. So, when a student comes trying to get flowers for the person they like, he falls in love with the person itās for, and quickly starts coughing up beautiful flowers for them. After itās done, he āstopsā his love by himself, and is cured.
One day, Hinata comes to the Flower Shop. Yukizome is pregnant and they want to congratulate her with a bouquet. Komaeda is being a little bitchy about it, because Hinata isnāt in the main course, but since Yukizome is a teacher, he says he can do it, and they both argue some more before parting ways.
Something weird happens, though, is that even after he is done with Yukizomeās flowers, heā¦ doesnāt stop to be sick, as usual. After wondering for a while, he realizes that he isnāt thinking about Yukizome at all, he is thinking about this rude reserve course student, and he canāt stop his feelings.
Days after days, itās getting worse, and he is now coughing roses that destroy his throat, and Hinata eventually hears about it and is freaking out of course, and is like āwhy arenāt you getting a surgery ?ā. Komaeda doesnāt want to, but Hinata is likeā¦ this is absurd, you donāt know me, why are you dying for me, oh my god. He even tries to be sneaky and to suggest a date, in hope to have Komaeda fall out of love with him once he learns to know him, but Komaeda is stubborn, oh my god.
And he is fucking dying. Mikan is super supportive, by the way. Everyone dies, she says, and she thinks that dying for love is great, and that all the flowers Komaeda throw up from his bloody, wrecked throat are incredibly beautiful.
Not saying how that ends, because I still have the hope to post it someday, but thatās a good AU.
Most underrated ship & Most overrated ship
A lot of Hinata ships arenāt getting enough attention because all the attention is stolen by Hina/nami and Koma/hina, and thatās tragic, because some of the FTE are cute as hell. Iām not asking for the fandom to be flooded with Hinata/Sonia or Hinata/Mikan but likeā¦ itās cute.
In dr3, I know people donāt like Ruruka but Ruruka/Seiko is an amazing ship, complicated and with many layers, and the fact that it was shafted ( I get it, folks, we are all trying to forget dr3 is a thing ) makes me sad, because thatās a ship that deserves attention.
In ndrv3, I donāt want to complain too loud, because thatās somehow semi-popular, but Kiiruma is the best ship in there and should be a lot more popular, okay. I have this weird feeling that people who like Miu arenāt the ones who like Kiibo and somehow ? they donāt ? ship them ?
I would also agree that for all the potential that Sai/mota or Oumo/ta got, and considering that they follow very popular formula with shippers, Iām surprised to see that they arenāt as popular as I thought they would be. Like, they are popular. But itās not through the roof, ever.
Most overrated ship
Ishi/mondo and Nae/gami in dr1, to be honest. They are probably the most popular ships after Nae/giri and Iām absolutely not invested in them at all. I feel like if Naegi had a real personality I could have enjoyed Nae/gami but as it, I just felt bad anytime Togami was walking all over him. And Ishi/mondo is kind of a āno-homoā joke, and I find insulting that the game is trying to give me feelings about them.
Kamu/koma, tooā¦ as a Koma/hina fan, I see it everywhere and I donāt get it. Kamukura is just not a well-written character to me, thatās the problem. Son/dam is also pretty random. I donāt dislike it but they had 5 conversations or so, and the fandom treating it as true love is āheh, okayā.
Andā¦ I like Saiouma, really. But good god, it already has more fics than Naegiri for 0 basis in canon ? Like, honestly ? Iām baffled ? Iām not angry or anything, I just donāt understand why everyone latched on this ship in particular ? Uh.

So I didnāt know this because I assumed like a reasonable person that Saihara was asking this in a place where itād be reasonable to strip but no, he justā¦asks it like right in the middle of the fucking gym of all places EVEN THOUGH THERE IS A RESORT POOL, so it really isnāt a surprise that so many people react badly to being asked this. (Even Ouma tells him to go get his ass kicked by Tenko. Angieās the only one openly all for it.)

If there isnāt an equal amount of writers/artists in the exchange, either of them may have to take up two or more requests instead of just one, just to ensure everyone involved would get something. This is so interesting :o what do you think mastermind Hinata will introduce himself as? Will he still pretend he forgot his talent, admit heās a reserve course, or say heās ultimate hope?? The last option is interesting how itāll work out especially the reveal when komaeda got the filesā¦. Oooh
For the sake of simplicity, I imagined Hinata genuinely not remembering anything at first similar to canon, but for everything to all come rushing in at a certain point and causing him to seriously snap then and there.
But I really like the idea of Hinata giving Komaeda the files as a way to test his loyalty. If Komaeda passes, heāll definitely survive the game, but if not, well... :āD
Him claiming to be the Ultimate Hope only for Komaeda to find out about him being a reserve student... That would be really something especially if Hinata had to start explaining why, exactly, heās the Ultimate Hope in spite of being a reserve student. It would certainly be a lot of information for Komaeda to process and might even cause him to completely break...and that might just make him more susceptible to manipulation... *q*

What's your most to least favorite ships to kaede with drv3 girls? :D also what do you like about them
Actually Iām really bad at ranking and my ranking often changes sporadically depending on my mood, but I can still give my general thoughts!
KaeMaki - The default ship if weāre being honest. Sunshine/brood hetships are often a bore but sunshine/brood gay ships are all great all the time. Kaedeās girlfriend being murderously protective is also A++ and when this shipās a thing, my two NOTPs in v3 arenāt a thing. Thatās great.
KaeMiu - Growing on me a lot. The idea of Kaede being sweet and flirty and flustering the hell out of Miu is really inviting. I really like the idea of Kaede braiding Miuās hair.
Kaerumi - Also growing on me because itās really great the more I think about it. Kaede and Kirumi are already super good-looking and they look great together. Kaede wanting to do things for Kirumi instead of having Kirumi do everything is very healing.
AngKae - Their FTEs are actually really cute. I always kind of wanted Angie to draw Kaede, but what I like about these two is that they have discussions related to the arts that are actually really interesting. Also Angie being so relaxed by Kaedeās playing that she falls asleep is very cute. Probably the ship I want to see more of the most because of how painfully rare it is.
Kaemugi - Again, their FTEs are really cute. The two of them try to figure out if they enjoy things outside of their passion, which is good and wholesome. I donāt like how Kaede harasses her in the main story (but I chalk that up to Kodaka being a creep), but otherwise I like how they play off one another in other material. Also Kaede in cosplay is good.
TenKae - Way too good. The idea of Tenko being violently protective but also adorably āiiyaa~!ā flustered when Kaede compliments her is just A++++! Theyāre also both passionate and headstrong with emotions that run hot and cold, so I think theyāve got really good synergyĀ I think I dislike Tenkoās FTEs with her the most though, womp womp.
Kaemiko - If I did rank the pairings, this would probably be on the bottom unfortunately because itās the least interesting. Sorry Himi. :āD That said, itās still a good ship because tiny puffy girlfriends are incredibly cute. I also really like the idea of Himiko considering Kaedeās playing to be comparable to its own form of magic.

Hetaliaās fandom was... *sigh*. Bad. I was just there for the ships and the cute historical references, my dudes. I couldnāt keep up. Iāve seen everything in the Hetalia fandom, and that includes hell.
K - What character has your favorite development arc/the best development arc?
Iām torn between Hinata and Maki. If we cut dr3 out of the picture, then Hinata. Iām a perfectionist, as everyone knows, and a character following the perfect mold of āsuffer from the system/win inside the system/destroy the systemā is good and pleases me.
L - Say something genuinely nice about a character who isnāt one of your faves. (Characters youāre neutral about are fair game, as are characters you merely dislike. Characters that you absolutely loathe with the fire of ten thousand suns are exempt, as there is no point in giving yourself an aneurysm over a character that you hate.)
Man, itās hard. Gundham has a great aesthetic (tm), but I think he could be so much more interesting if the fandom let him. His way to see things is left ambigous, which is great, but the way he distances himself from ānormalityā and cut himself from the rest of the group is... something. He is not a favorite by a long shot, but he has an okay - if subtle - writing.
R - Which friendship/platonic relationship is your favorite in fandom?
Sakura/Aoi in the first game, the trio Shuichi/Kaito/Maki in the third. These relationships are treated in a way I can invest myself into, I guess. Which is hard in a game like DR that only spreads on a few weeks. Fandom-made, a friendship between Komaeda and Mikan or Hinata and Koizumi is precious.
S - Show us an example of your personal headcanon (prompts optional but encouraged)
I mean Iāve already written a headcanon for Kokichi and Maki here.
For one more sdr2-focused, letās talk about Ibuki, who I never talk about. My personal headcanon for her falling into despair is that after leaving her band, Hopeās Peak clearly made her understand that she wouldnāt be welcome at the school after that. Despite her efforts to prove that she could kick ass in solo, she ended up humiliated by Hopeās Peak and to lose her confidence. Which sucks.
T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending?
Hinata is a Slytherin. Like, itās not even a headcanon to me, itās the truth. I feel personally offended when I see someone sort him in Griffindor or whatever.
