Ok so looks like Invader Zim is getting popular again and while I don't personally plan on getting into it there are a few things that people ignored back in the day that shouldn't have been and shouldn't be.

Gaz and Dib are literal 12 year old children. Don't sexualize them.

Gaz, Dib, and their dad are pale but still very much Mexican and not white. Apparently the movie darkened their skin a little to make that more obvious so use the movie as a reference point rather then the show maybe.

Zim is "older then the human race" or something like that according to Vasquez but I remember there being a whole thing about human years vs irken years vs species developmental age so I guess that's up in the water still until someone says something official. A bit sketch though just saying.

So I havent seen anyone talk about this yet, and maybe it's already common knowledge, but I think it's pretty clear that the new IZ movie will probably start off with the events that kicked off the comic series.

You know it kind of makes sense why Professor membrane constantly throws himself into work. *spoilers* the guy lost his fucking arms. Who knows how long he was incapable of doing things on his own until he got his prosthetics. he's probably compensating for that time lost by staying busy and doing everything he always wanted to. Unfortunately, his relationship with his kids has suffered for it.
