I grew up during Tumblr’s golden age. When The 1975′s self titled album, Lorde’s Pure Heroine, Arctic Monkey’s AM, Halsey’s Badlands, Lana Del Rey, and Troye Sivan was all anyone listened to. When everyone loved American Apparel, black and white grids, house plants, the grudge and pastel aesthetics, Rupi Kaur and boxed water (what was that obsession about ??).
Hearing The 1975′s If You’re Too Shy (Let Me Know) really threw me back. If youre too shy sounds like the 2013 1975 I grew up with. Don’t get me wrong, their recent stuff has been cool too but like anyone who grew up on Tumblr will tell you, the self titled has a special place in my heart.
It’s funny how the mv to iytslmk comes out when I decided to make a new blog. It’s like I'm back in that golden age again. Crazy
