PHOENIX ARTISTS SPLASH COLOR ONTO DRAB DOWNTOWN
In celebration of International Yarn Bombing Day, Phoenix's own introduced a little fiber into the city's diet with some colorful art street action.
The pre-planning activities were loosely coordinated by The Downtown Phoenix Mothership, which reportedly touched down "in 2012. The Mothership exists to strengthen Downtown Phoenix and to encourage an environment of high weirdness, creative activity, and true vitality. To accomplish this, the Mothership provides enhanced cultural services to this area, including street performance, ephemeral art action and unexpected community development."
