16.08.19|| So... last time I posted anything here was January, in a wild panic before my mock exams and it's pretty surreal to be here now, day after A level results with A*A*A and a place to study med at uni. It's just insane!

Whilst I haven't been active in forever, I started this blog 4 years ago and I honestly don't know if I would have gotten where I am without the support and advice of so many people in the studyblr community!

I don't know if I'll be very active on here, but I'm definitely not deleting my account! My inbox is always open if anyone ever wanted to chat- though I may well be talking into the void it's been so long I wouldn't be surprised lmao

6. Career goals?

It’s funny because I’ve spent the past 5 years striving towards getting into medical school that I haven’t put a great deal of thought into afterwards. Obviously, I want to become a doctor, otherwise I wouldn’t have chosen medicine, and I think I’d like working in a hospital, but beyond that I’m open to any speciality- though I do kinda have my eye on paediatrics haha. I would also like to do some form of humanitarian aid at some point in my life, but it’s very much a pipe dream at the moment, so many practicalities to consider:/

15. Class that you’ve always wanted to take but never had the chance? 

This one is easy! British Sign Language!! There’s only so much I can learn sitting at home with no one to practice with. If there is any an opportunity for me to take a course and I have the money? I’m absolutely doing it.

24. Describe your perfect study environment

I don’t think I really have one? Usually I’m good with anything as long as I have my headphones, I do like having space to spread though. and I don’t mind working alongside people as long as they don’t become a distraction, I learnt very well that there were some friends I just could not study with during my a levels haha. I am looking forward to finding nice study spots in and around my uni, and people to study with!!

35. Most profound thing ever said to you by a professor/teacher?

Ooo it would HAVE to be when my chemistry teacher provoked literal outrage in my class after telling us that we never actually touch anything, because the electrons within your body repel the electrons within the thing you’re touching, so there is an unfathomably small distance there. wild.

50. What’s something more important to you than school?

22.12.18|| So.... I'm off to Saudi Arabia over the holidays! But with my A level mock exams starting on 8 Jan I inevitably have to take revision along with me:(

Here's everything I'm taking. Specification for each subject, lots of PAPER, my flashcards (tho most are on quizlet), my list book, my pencil case oc and sadly my textbooks as there's no guarantee I'll always have access to wifi at the hotel and I'll defo need a comprehensive resource because there are some topics I'm really weak on ( looking at you Ecology).

I'm hoping that I will be able to get some solid revision out of the 3-4 hours a day I have aside for working. Perhaps more so than if I were at home, I don't know, we'll have to see.

not that I’m aware of O.o

lol I don’t play the guitar- probably in music class in like year 9 when we had to try play a chord

I haven;t picked up my violin in forever :(

Keiynan Lonsdale and Zendaya- Don’t make me choose pls:))

8. What’s a sound you hate and a sound you love?

Hate the sound of things scraping- whether it be on a chalkboard, ceramics/ pottery or concrete- just. no

I adore the interstellar soundtrack- If I could choose to only listen to one piece of music for the rest of my life (let’s hope that never happens) it would be this. But if it has to only be a natural sound then perhaps the rain or my little sister’s voice.

cool theory but nope

Haha half my friends have already gotten their license or are currently taking lessons, I have yet to open the theory book. I’ll get there.

Petrol? NO

14. What’s the worst injury you’ve ever had?

Hmm I’m not actually sure. Maybe when I got whiplash in a wave pool and literally couldn’t move my neck for a month- at least I had no lasting damage.

15. Do you have an obsession right now?

British Sign Language :)

16. Do you tend to hold grudges against people who have done you wrong?

I am very fortunate to never have been in a situation where I’ve been actually wronged- I’ve been hurt before and forgiven not forgotten- but I don’t really know how I’d react to being seriously wronged tbh

17. In a relationship?

haha no- in a pretty committed relationship with my school rn
