iwamiyu golden retriever x guilt complex dynamic thank you for your time

You know Iwashimizu never gets enough credit for being the responsible one but he really steps up when he and Miyuki decide to grow their family.

Not like Miyuki isn’t responsible, because he is. He would throw himself down in front of a speeding car for his child, but he is also the fun dad that has difficulty figuring out why his child is crying when Iwashi isn’t there.

They both come from single child homes themselves, so just having one kiddo comes as a natural thing for them. But also, Iwashi would go grey prematurely if he had more than one baby with Miyuki’s genes in them running around.

Their son though. He is the gentlest, kindest, most polite little boy you will ever meet. He is holding open doors for grannies at the supermarket as soon as he is strong enough to hold open doors on his own.

But he’s also not a very good problem solver, and tends to get upset easily. Though half of that upset may be false crocodile tears because he knows Papa Iwashi will solve all of his problems for him as soon as he starts to whine. 

Miyuki has to drop their son off at school, because he would cry his head off to get Iwashi to take him home. 

Their boy is just alot more independent when its just him and Miyuki, because Miyuki shows an appropriate level concern to a bump and bruise.

Iwashi on the other hand hovers over him and immediately reacts as soon as he tips over, and makes him his favorite snack of jelly toast as soon as they get back home. 

Has that little boy been hanging out with Uncle Gion? Because Iwashi often finds him sliding off of his bed in the middle of his nap.

Iwashi definitely tries to encourage him into doing something other than rugby, because he doesn’t want his little man to get into something so rough. 

It doesn’t work, not with a dad like Miyuki.  It doesn’t upset Iwashi at all, he knew it was just a matter of time. He just wishes he would’ve waited till middle school or something, rather than starting at a rugby school when he’s just barely starting kindergarten!

Iwashi is really happy to see how strong and independent his son can be, as soon as he is out of his little boy’s line of sight.  That doesn’t stop Iwashi from coddling him as soon as he comes off the field. Rugby practice isn’t complete until Iwashi has cleaned all of his scrapes.

(Miyuki is probably his coach. It makes his dedication to the sport alot stronger, because their son wants to be just like Miyuki).

On the other hand, their son claims he’s going to marry his papa iwashi when he gets older. Or at least, someone just like him.

Wow Iwashimizu is the only person that makes Miyuki feel like he has to be shy about his feelings. He is normally so open and carefree with what he’s feeling, but with Iwashi, he feels like he has to hold it in a little bit. Before they’re dating, he holds his feelings back from Iwashi himself, because he doesn’t want Iwashi to get weirded out and not want to be friends with him anymore.  After they start dating, he gives Iwashi all the affection he could ever need, but he holds back on telling others the details of their relationship.  Not because he’s embarrassed or ashamed, quite the opposite. He just waited so long to be with Iwashi, that he keeps their personal things private. That’s just for the two of them.

He does gush about how great Iwashi is to his friends and teammates though.  Their love may be private, but HIS love for Iwashi is always on display the entire time they’re dating. 

 Iwashi always worries he’s not good enough for Miyuki, or that Miyuki’s playing a joke, so he’s the kind to check if Miyuki still likes him by fishing for compliments and ‘I love you’s

The only thing that agitates Miyuki about Iwashi is how he worries over him too much. “are you my boyfriend or my mom?”

Lap sitting at inappropriate times because Miyuki likes to see Iwashi flustered.

Miyuki constantly bumping the back of Iwashi’s knees / sneaking up on him / generally making him scream because he likes to see Iwashi flustered.

Miyuki reminding Iwashi that he has sweaty hands every time they hold hands. Iwashi trying to pull his hands away because he thinks Miyuki is unhappy with his sweaty hands, but Miyuki always has a firm grip on him and won’t let him go. 

Iwashi always ends up absentmindedly rubbing Miyuki’s shoulders when they’re relaxing together at home.  He swears it doesn’t bother him anymore, but it kind of does, especially if Miyuki comes home with tight shoulders.

Iwashi is just so attentive to how Miyuki is feeling and what he needs. Iwashi is always off the couch and in the kitchen as soon as Miyuki says “I want”.  It kind of amuses Miyuki, but he also hopes Iwashi chills out after a while.

They like to cook together! Iwashi’s a momma’s boy, and his mom has always taught him how to cook different meals, while Miyuki is pretty useless because his grandma did most all of the cooking for him and his dad.  Iwashi likes being able to teach Miyuki something for once, and Miyuki just likes being able to spend time with Iwashi.

They don’t cook together when its desert / pastry time however, because they both snack on the cookie dough and end up with aprox. 6 cookies.

Miyuki always puts his cold hands and cold feets right in the middle of Iwashi’s back at night. 

AFTER THE NEWEST CHAPTERS, I AM 100% HERE TO ANSWER THIS ONE.

who starts putting up decorations in october? - Miyuki. Over enthusiastic about everything that involves him getting to spend extra time with Iwashi. And Christmas time is just that! Lots of time with loved ones, especially boyfriends.  Miyuki always gets Iwashi to help him. So that he can spend even more time with him.

who buys the advent calendars? - Iwashimizu. Because he always wants to put something extra and special on Dec. 21 for Miyuki’s birthday.

who places mistletoes all around the house? - Miyuki. Anything to smooch his big boyfriend.  And, bonus benefits include Iwashi not being able to refuse a kiss because he’s too flustered (which is what happens 90% of the time when Miyuki flat out says he wants to kiss him).

who wraps the presents for other people? - They wrap together. Again, to spend as much time together as possible. Miyuki also enjoys popping an extra bow on top of Iwashi’s head because he’s just so cute.

who puts the final star/angel on the top of the christmas tree? - Iwashi. He can reach better? Plus Miyuki gets a good view of the butt from his comfortable position on the couch.

who’s the one that hates eggnog? - Miyuki. Weird texture, weird taste, give him hot chocolate or peppermint tea and a warm Iwashi to lean against, and he is much happier.

who’s the one that bakes christmas cookies for guests? - Iwashi. He has to keep kicking Miyuki out of the kitchen so the cookies don’t either end up burnt because Miyuki “distracted” him, or so the frosting actually goes on the cookies and not in Miyuki’s face.

who sends out the christmas cards? - Miyuki. He always manages to convince Iwashi to take pictures with him and their pets so they have something nice to send to their family and friends.

who knows all the words to twelve days of christmas? - They both do, but Miyuki sings it, and all other christmas songs with a lot more gusto than Iwashi. Iwashi mainly knows all the words because Miyuki is a nice singer to listen to.

who’s the better snowman builder? - Miyuki. He’s actually able to roll the balls up so they stick together, while Iwashi’s just fall apart. He needs some help from Iwashi to put each piece on top of the base though.

who starts snowball fights? - Miyuki. He thinks he’s being playful. But when Iwashi pegs him in the face with a hard packed snowball in self defense, its suddenly alot less fun.
