I AM LATE BECAUSE LESBIANS, BUT: Monster people roommates! Who had made the BIGGEST, FILTHIEST mess, and what was their punishment?
(AAAAAAAAh sorry this was so late, I kept trying to decide on the stupid formatting, just decided to go with what I know)
Maureen: āBiggest Messā, huh?
Koa: Biggest one I can remember was the fish tank thing.
Maureen: Oh yeah, the Fish Tank!
Tommis: Oh shit, not this again...
Maureen: Right, so, Tommis has this great big fish tank he keeps his fishes in-
Tommis: Theāre Loaches, actually, of the Golden Dojo variety. Lovely pets, very smart, if a bit prone to disease.
Milan: Aw shush, man.
*Tommis grumbling*
Maureen: Anyway, itās this great big glass case, big enough you could squeeze a person in there. And Tommisā got to clean it out every now and then or else it reeks somethin awful.
Koa: A pleasant kind of stink, really. The Stink of Life.
Milan: Smells like high tide at the harbor if you ask me.
Maureen: Hush up and let me finish!
Milan: Sorry...
Maureen: So heās got to get the tank to the bathroom so he can drain the water and clean it, right? But he canāt lift the damn thing, on account of being so scrawny-
Tommis: Which is why I got Milan here *pats the Ogre gently* to pick it up and move it for me. Poor decision on my part.
Milan, whispering: No offense taken, dick.
Maureen: And he hangs the thing at an angle over his shoulder once he gets into the hall. At this point, Iām downstairs, and I hear Tom getting pissy about the way heās holding it. A minute of squabbling later, a thunk, and a shatter, and a fuckin waterfall comes pouring down the stairs. The water didnāt do much damage, thankfully.
Tommis: I got Hardwood flooring for a reason!
*Koa suddenly looks very worried, and looks down at the floor beneath him with an expression of horror. Milan puts a large hand on his shoulder*
Milan: No worries, itās fake. Plastic anā bamboo an' such.
*Koa appears relieved*
Milan: Yāsee, what happened was that thereās this big rock at one end of the tank, among other fancy trash for the fish to play in. And When I pick this thing up, I didnāt know the rock was still in it, so it rolls its heavy-ass self down the slope of the tank, and it hits the glass-
Maureen: And it shatters! Gallons of stanky fish water, busted glass, and sand everywhere.
Koa: Youāre forgetting the best part!
Others: Huh?
Koa: Well, I was sitting on the floor downstairs when it happened, and with the water comes these three little yellow noodlefish, just flopping down the steps, gasping for air, and we hear Tommis practically shriekĀ from upstairs-
Tommis: *closes eyes and rubs his temples* oh GOD
Maureen, Koa, and Milan, in unison: MOE, LARRY, CURLY, NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! *the yell dissolves into laughter halfway through*
Tommis: TheyāreĀ perfectly legitimateĀ names for Fish!
Maureen: Hehehe... Oh God, it was rank for a few hours, but Koa drags his Tree over and sucks up the worst of the spill in no time.
Koa: One of the many perks of being a Houseplant. Went down rough, but tons of nutrients.
Milan: Suffice to say Iām not allowed to help with Fish cleaning anymore.
Tommis: I footed the bill for the tank replacement, which was marginal. So I suppose the repeated chant over the ensuing months was my punishment.
CRACKS KNUCKLES 9, 10, 14 and 15 for the unproblematic cinnamon roll, Alex Harmonia
Alex Harmonia did nothing wrong.
9. Do they have any weird hobbies?
Strangely enough, Alex thoroughly enjoys fetch quests. After school, heād always delay going home so that he could run around the city and make a few deliveries for the flower shop or move this keg of wine over to this bar across town. It was another way for him to explore the place he called home, and it also made him feel useful to people in some way. He never asked for any payment for his services either, and he got a reputation as being a very trustworthy person. Being a simple delivery boy did him a lot of good as a kid.
10. What is a talent they wish they didnāt have?
Alex is understandably unsettled by how easy it is for him to kill people. The fact that his blade bears a killing curse that is cast on whoever it cuts makes even casual engagements dangerous and deadly. With Soniaās help, he managed to place a seal on the sword that kept the curse from spreading so easily, but even then, just the fact that he is such a danger to the people around him turns his stomach. Being a pacifist is hard when youāre the unwilling vessel of a fallen god.
14. What is their worst habit?
Well, that depends. He has two terrible habits - one that affects the people around him, and one that only really affects himself. The first is that heās an absolute coward, who would sooner turn and run than face danger. Heās stared into the eyes of death too many times to hold anything but crippling fear towards the idea. Alex is not ready to die. Nor is he prepared to endure pain. So when it seems like either of these are coming towards him, he runs.
The second is a compound of many things: Self-doubt, self-loathing, and self-blame. Alex has no faith in himself or his abilities, so convinced that heās nothing but a disappointment to his family and friends. He hates himself for it, and should the slightest thing go wrong, his first reaction is to lay blame on himself and seek justification for the burden. The fact that, technically speaking, heās often right about being at fault for so many failures doesnāt help him break out of this habit. This is a child whose cries for help are often stifled and suffocated in his cries for forgiveness for faults that donāt belong to him.
15. Did they ever experience a major personalty shift? If so, what triggered it?
After falling face-first into the chaos of the demon world and reuniting at long last with his dead family, Alexās life took a turn for the better. His father was finally able to recognize his faults as a parent. His sister was finally able to recognize the abuses she inflicted on her beloved brother. His mother finally saw the childās awakened potential and decided it was time for him to learn how to defend himself, so he wouldnāt have to think of himself as a burden anymore, or simply flee from future fights. He found himself surrounded by the loving support of his family - something that he yearned for so desperately, yet had been deprived from for so long - and the excited encouragement from new friends - something heād never truly been able to cultivate in his life. With all these meaningful connections and positive reinforcement, Alex found himself running towards a battle instead of away from it, and found himself beating himself up a little less than he used to. For the first time in his life, he was able to actually develop a self-esteem. And thatās frickinā awesome.
I just beat Undyne! She reminded me a lot of Kamina from Gurren Lagaan.... right down to the shouting and thinking of her friends and stuff. Tough fight, but advice form others went a long way. Thank you to Jen and JArrod for the assistance!
