It had only been a couple of days since Asura had received the news about her own betrothal. Sheâd been nervous as she read it, even before she got to the name. It just full of phrases like âgood matchâ , âcomplimentary personalitiesâ , and âwe hope youâll balance each other outâ. Which, if she understood her motherâs euphemisms correctly, and she usually did, meant that sheâd be marrying someone with a completely opposite personality from her own. Not that that would bother her, she was really just afraid that they wouldnât like her. Then, of course, all those worries went out the window as soon as she saw the name, and more importantly, the title. His Royal Highness, Ivan Romanov, Crown Prince of Russia. Whoâs idea was it to make Ausra a queen!? Especially in a country as large and in power as Russia! And that had been the reason sheâd spent the last couple of days hiding in her room where she knew she wouldnât have to deal with the awkward betrothal introductions.Â
She couldnât hide forever though, so sheâd spent half a day doing her make up and picking out a cute outfit. At least if she talked too much or said something stupid sheâd still be cute, and that was something. After asking a number of staff for directions several times she finally found his room, or what she hoped was his room at least, taking a deep breath and knocking softly on the door; bouncing on the balls of her feet while she waited for an answer.Â
