𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐇𝐀𝐒 𝐁𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐒𝐍𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆, is the first thing she thinks of when her eyes flutter open. juni can tell because her mouth is VERY dry; that or from what happened last night perhaps ?
she stirs, she aches; but it is a good ache, something familiar but in which hadn’t been experienced for a while. a cluster of brown hair is covering her eyes when she sits up, and she pushes the rats nest away, eyes roaming over the sleeping blonde. she is tall - she notices; ( not that it was something she would have missed before between her legs ) but she wants to chuckle at how she must look against her own 5′5 frame. a finger comes out to trace the tattoos on her arm and she leans forward, placing a soft KISS against her shoulder; not wanting to disturb her.
retrieving her shirt she pulls it on, only to move about the house - it is cold in january & she had forgotten to set the heating. a clips pushes her hair back and she returns not too long later with a cup of coffee. “perion.” she whispers the younger woman awake; ignoring the lift of her lips as she leans against the door frame.
It had been nice, the sound and feel of another body next to hers. A comfort she can’t quite place. Perion had slept too— a feat that rarely occurred unless she was exhausted or medicated. But something about a warm woman had been a balm, but not the kind that eases her aches. Because she is rightly aching. It isn’t her fault— Ju... Jupiter?—— not a planet, a tree— it had been dark when they were taking each other’s clothes off, so Juniper wouldn’t have noticed the bruises.
But the bruises are days old, and the new aches are much more pleasant.
Perion gives a little groan, noticing in a far away kind of sense that her bedmate had disappeared. She could treasure this just a little longer, this half asleep state, before she had to get up, before she might scare this woman she’s spent the night with— with her scars and her bruises (fresh, only earned a few days ago at a fight that she’d won, on her mid-back and side, and a really ripe one in hues of black and red and purple on her thigh). But right now...
Right now there’s a soft whisper and the smell of coffee, and Perion can’t help the little croon that leaves her throat when she hears her name whispered oh so nicely, tugging her that final way out of sleep. She rubs her hands over her face and opens her eyes, drawing her gaze to Juniper, and then down a little to her bare legs. Perion laughs. “Aren’t you cold?” she asks, half sitting up, half-assedly drawing the blanket up with her to cover her chest. She takes a deep breath. “That smells nice.”
