Park Shin Hye and Princess Zatashah Enjoy Warm Camaraderie at the ITSU VVS Grand Launch
PUTRAJAYA: South Korean actress Park Shin Hye made a dazzling appearance in Malaysia last weekend, as part of the ITSU VVS Grand Launch. Serving as the product ambassador for ITSU VVS, also known as the Empress Throne (女皇座) or “The Market’s First Workout Sofa”, Park Shin Hye met with her Malaysian fans during a special second session, “Let’s Talk with Park Shin Hye” at IOI City Mall.
The ITSU VVS, also known as the Empress Throne (女皇座) or “The Market’s First Workout Sofa,” is a wellness innovation designed to combine luxury with functionality. With its sleek design and removable seat cushion, the VVS allows users to engage in passive exercise through vertical rhythmic motion. Whether sitting to activate glute muscles, standing for a full-body workout, or simply resting legs to ease foot discomfort, the VVS offers a versatile wellness experience. At the heart of the product is a precise 3.2mm vertical vibration therapy system, engineered for stability, comfort, and safety. The result is a low-impact, joint-friendly solution that delivers an effective workout while minimizing dizziness or discomfort making it suitable for users of all ages.
Anticipation for her arrival was palpable, with fans reportedly gathering as early as 8 a.m. to catch a glimpse of the beloved actress. The crowd’s patience was finally rewarded when Park Shin Hye appeared at approximately 5:30 p.m., gracing the stage in an elegant white dress that captivated everyone present. Adding to the significance of the occasion, the Princess of Selangor, Tengku Zatashah, welcomed her with a bouquet of flowers, marking a royal highlight of the event.
During the lighthearted Q&A session, Park Shin Hye offered fans a rare peek into her thoughts and current life. When asked about her favourite song at the moment, she revealed that she’s been enjoying “Golden” from the hit animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters, along with a track by Lee Juck. The host noted that Tengku Zatashah is also an avid K-Pop fan, prompting Park Shin Hye to share that she had looked up the princess’s social media prior to the event. “It turns out you really love K-pop singers. I even saw a concert photo you posted. It made me realize how much you love Korea,” she said warmly.
When posed with the classic time-travel question, whether she would rather revisit the past or see the future, Park Shin Hye’s answer drew cheers from the crowd. “I’d like to go back 10 years ago,” she said, “because that was the time I was in Malaysia meeting my fans. I’d like to relive that moment.”
As for superpowers, teleportation was her top pick. “If I could teleport, I think I could meet the people I really want to meet with just a snap of my fingers,” she shared. “And I could come here often to meet my fans too.”
Currently immersed in filming a new drama, Park Shin Hye said the part of her day she looks forward to the most is simply returning home. “After a long day of filming, I enjoy the time to rest and recharge.”
When asked about food, the actress lovingly named her dad’s homemade zucchini stew as the one meal she could eat for the rest of her life. On the topic of Malaysian delicacies, Park Shin Hye described her memorable experience with durian. “While holding my breath, it tastes amazing,” she joked. “But when I’m breathing, that’s when the pungent smell kicks in. Still, I understand why it’s the king of fruits… it’s really creamy and premium.” She also mentioned receiving a local chocolate from a fan at the airport the day before. “I tried it today and it was really good. Malaysian chocolates are great as well!” she beamed, adding another sweet touch to her fan interactions.
Park Shin Hye also teased fans with details of her upcoming drama, Miss Undercover Boss. Set in the late 1990s, the series follows Hong Geum-Bo (played by Park Shin Hye), a cool-headed elite supervisor at the Financial Supervisory Service who is dedicated to her job. In order to investigate suspicious flows of funds, she goes undercover as Hong Jang-Mi, a 20-year-old high school graduate, and starts working at a securities firm. “I’m very excited to be able to show a new side of myself with this role,” she said, hinting at a more intense and layered performance to come.
Wrapping up the event, Park Shin Hye expressed heartfelt gratitude: “I’m glad to be back in Malaysia and to be able to greet my Malaysian fans as an ambassador. I hope more opportunities like this will come by soon.”
Earlier in the day, Park Shin Hye was also present at 1 Utama Shopping Centre for the official ITSU VVS Grand Launch event. With her charm, wit, and sincere fan engagement, Park Shin Hye’s visit was nothing short of memorable for Malaysian fans. It was a day filled with laughter, warmth, and lasting impressions.
