–Hi sir, how are you doing today?
–Good! I’ve been catching up on my Netflix. I finally got through True Detective, and I have to say season two didn’t quite have the magic of season one. But, anyway. I had to get it watched so I can get watching the next thing. Which is the age we live in, I guess, right? There’s so much stuff to watch, and do, and everything’s within reach, and in short, everything is possible. But then, everything isn’t possible, because there’s only so much time in the day and there’s only so much we can do. So we spend our time either frantically doing everything we possibly can, or regretting that we can’t do everything. And I am overwhelmed by this feeling that the only thing that comes out of this world of infinite possibility is infinite regret.
–Hey, I see you’ve filled out your loyalty card! This one’s on us.
