((DoG is too far gone to go back to being mild mannered scientist Ridgedog. Kind of like The Joker in The Killing Joke, even if he had the capacity to say "you know what, i need to step back and take a look at what i've done, and change", there'd be no point, he can't escape what he's done to get where he is now. not to mention his powers have permanently damaged his brain and are kind of the only thing keeping him going. The best anyone can hope for is that the Ridgedog stuck inside of DoG can somehow steer himself to a place where DoG can hurt no one else forever.))
