Remember the game Mercy? @hereadstruth sent out a really good email today and I can really relate to the writer's perspective. As a kid I was smaller than a lot of the tough kids at school but I could still manage to beat them at this game. You basically just try to twist each other's hands off. It's pretty much the equivalent of billy goats smacking their heads together. The mission is that you get to make your opponents squeal mercy while they drop down in pain. My Mercy greatness came from battling my older brother. He's easily crush my hands but he never let it go to the point where I felt like dying. I'd see big kids go too far on the playground and literally make kids cry because they wouldn't let go. It never felt right to cross that line of pain to agony when playing with others. Mercy was modeled well for me. Matthew 5:7- Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. From He Reads Truth: We learn the power of mercy by having it given or withheld. I'm so thankful to be over the weird car trouble I've have recently had with my truck. I'm not out of the woods with it but the most irritating part is now fixed. Also thankful for my dad who was able to come over and show me how to replace my alternator.
