As I “plug in” at the Ft.Lauderdale airport after a cancelled flight and now delayed (rebooked) flight, I reflect. This is one of those times where you want to be angered. For what? Will it matter tomorrow? I wanted so bad to cry, scream, sleep, crawl up into a little ball. For what? As I listened to everybody around me complain, tell me their story and pretty much dis Air Canada, I told jokes. These are the times in life I am utilizing my vertical thinking. Something I learned at an incredible training within my first 2 weeks at Starbucks Canada. Yes, I am worried about my dog who has to stay 2 extra nights at the doggie hotel. Yes, I am worried about what my new employer will think when I call and say I will be completely late (if I can even make it in at all). Yes I got next to zero sleep. Yes, yes and yes. I still am. This it’s. I am. Molly is happier than happy, Starbucks understands and well, Air Canada had an unintentional glitch. I am.
