After getting caught in a dogfight and rescued from being shepherded away by TIE fighters, Echo-17 had gotten a decent welcome from her rescuers. Whisper had been supervising the repair of her Velocimancer while she had been doing a meet and greet with security. They still weren't sure about her and, honestly, she still wasn't sure about them. They did provide her a room and food though, and the guys in Rogue Flight weren't that bad either.
However, as nice as it was that they'd made room for her, sleeping in it was... just not appealing. Echo hoped it was just the shock of everything and that the discomfort would go away soon, but for now, it was almost more comforting sleeping in the ammo closet of the Warmind, Rasputin's bunker. At least she knew what to expect... what was there and how to get out safely if she wanted...
Echo shook her head, marching her way to the hanger. Under her arm was the pillow and blanket that had been on the bed in the room she'd been assigned. Nope. She was on a space station in weird, alien space with the only connection to home being her ship and her ghost. She was NOT sleeping in a weird cot tonight. -- Echo-17
The ship was close to its night cycle. Activity had slowed down, the corridors were emptying out of beings, and the lights were visibly dimming toward lights-out. When the Exo passed by, a figure peeled away from its position along the wall where it had gone unnoticed and assumed a place at her shoulder.
The blonde pilot had been quiet for several minutes walking at Echo's side as she worked her way from the assigned quarters back to the hanger. Before she could cross the threshold though, Hobbie had briefly quickened his step to reach the door before her and halted, forcing her to stop or bowl him over. He looked at the pillow and blanket roll in her arms and raised his brows.
