"Come with me" I said, "it will be fun and we can get sushi afterwards. We're just roleplaying for a wilderness first responder final - it should only take an hour." I said. We had fun roles: my son was a missing hiker, and my SAR helicopter when down with me and my crew (best friend) after last night's storm rolled in and it got struck by lightning. Unfortunately the students were unprepared and took forever leaving the classroom to come find us, by which time we were so wet (and cold) where we had to quit for our own safety. So instead we got to borrow all of the first responder's spare dry clothing, and only 1/6 had an emergency blanket so only one of us got to strip out of wet clothing like proper protocol dictates. We did not home in time for sushi, we hit 3 road detours instead.
