i love the found family trope dearly, but you know what should also get some attention? incredibly queercoded, incredibly codependant, probably toxic, obsessive friendships where the characters are so deeply entwined with each other and completely antagonist towards outsiders (and probably each other)
#i want more fucked up friendships#and not in a ājust bad friendsā way if that makes any sense#its such a fascinating dynamic#dark academia#this undying loyalty and oneness but with so much strife#characters who literally need each other and only exist in relation to each other#its like the step up from that one friendship we all had as kids#if we were villains#the secret history#maybe not tsh history as much but its feels adjacent to this in terms of near absolute exclusion of anyone else#queue epilogue
